Marketing For Equine Professionals Do You Really Believe Youll Be A Success

Writen by Beth Woodward

What's it like to have a passionate business with your talent of bringing together those 'ready' clients with your beloved horses and you can't seem to connect? Whether it's not knowing what to say or simply not feeling comfortable with marketing, the end result is still the same. No clients = No business! It's difficult to pioneer a theory and approach when it's not familiar to the mainstream person. I GET IT!

I don't have a horse, nor does it fit into my life of owning one. But I have the next best thing. I know several Equine Assisted Professionals and have experienced the absolute wonder of connection and direction between me, (an issue in my life) and a magnificent horse.

No matter what your expertise with your horse, when it comes to connecting clients to a deeper level of themselves, giving an "experience" is the key. Why do I really get this? I left corporate to become a Professional Life Coach. Even though Coaches have become more known to the public, it was and still can be, difficult to get the message across with what we do. That's why "experience" is a must with what you do so it gets into the prospective clients' body. My Equine Guided experience was an awakening about my leadership. For others, it may be a spiritual awakening and more. No matter what, your clients need to get a taste of what it's like before stepping into the arena. (pun intended)

There are two HUGE points I would like to recommend when it comes to your Equine business.

- BELIEF

- A SHIFTING EXPERIENCE

Let's talk about Belief first. I've had my business since 1999 and really pinpointed my niche of Marketing "MY WAY" in 2001. Belief -- that flicker of light inside of me, is what carried me through. All of those doubts from other people really knocked me down in the beginning. But look, I'm still here. It's because I had a belief so strong that no one was going to stop me. I didn't have all the answers, but I knew I just had to keep offering my program because I could help so many people. This is called "True Belief."

Let me share something I recently learned, or actually, was reminded of. I just had foot surgery and it was pretty extensive. Before I went into the hospital I had a concern that I would lose momentum in my business with a 12-week recovery period. As I looked at what I had accomplished and believed, I saw a great downtime opportunity to create the new products I was excited about bringing to my audience. I KNEW I wouldn't have any problem. I believed everything would be all right. The second I woke up from my surgery I KNEW I would continue to achieve my goals. It's the first thing I thought about when I opened my eyes. It was like a vision that came from an angel. Through the next 3 weeks my laptop was attached to my hip with ideas just BURSTING. (in-between naps from the painkillers) It was a painful time and an inspiring time.

During my first month of recovery time I continued to learn about myself, my business, what was right for me and where I shouldn't go. I was like a sponge and one day something really hit me. A BIG AHA! BELIEF! I've had it all along but something was different now. It had a deeper meaning and it played a much bigger role. Not just for me but for all solo-entrepreneurs.

The foundation with cornerstones that I work from and I know a lot of us do when we have a business is, Belief, Trust, Passion, Business Process and Marketing. Another big piece is only doing what I LOVE and having a great spiritual connection. Feel free to fill in any pieces that are different for your foundation.

Here's the BIG AHA! Belief is the entire foundation. In fact, if I were to create a business model it would look something like this. Picture a triangle. On the left side of the triangle is Business; right side is Marketing; top is Trust; Within the triangle is Passion; and Belief is the entire foundation. Spirituality encompasses all.

I KNOW what I have and BELIEF has carried me to where I am now and where I will go. Do you know what you have? You have something magnificent! You have something that no one else has because you are unique and that's what you bring to your business. If you have a dream, go after it. If you have a business, make it a GREAT one. In either case don't deprive others of your gifts. They are in need of you and it's up to you (and your support system) to make it happen.

Now what about that Shifting Experience? How do you bring that to your prospective client when THEY don't believe or don't trust? I was recently speaking with a new client. She said she had no marketing experience and didn't feel that she could go out and market. Here's the nugget. Redefine marketing to fit you. I asked her to tell me what she "liked" to do and what she was skilled at doing? She didn't have a problem with telling me. Then she got into her faults and what she didn't like. I stopped her in her tracks. Don't look at what you're NOT good at and ONLY look at what you enjoy. That's your stepping off point and that's where you redefine marketing to fit you. You can market from your comfort zone and you will be pleasantly surprised at what will happen.

Be creative. Here are a couple of ideas to break the ice.

-- If you're a good facilitator and like being in front of people, hold an experiential demo for a group or organization. If you don't know how to approach someone find a friend that knows a group you would like to connect with or ask your friends who they know. This is called a 'warm' connection.

-- Try and get as specific as you can about the type or group of people you want to work with. If you're the person that only wants to work with the horses and not do any of the outside connecting, find someone that believes in you. There's no doubt they would go out and find someone just by talking about you. Then, bring that experience to your audience.

No matter what, you do have that choice of trying to fit into the typical marketing modes or stepping into your strengths and passions first, then connecting your marketing ideas and approach from there. Identify a few simple marketing steps that bring you energy, create a plan and work it!

Remember, You have something magnificent! Don't let marketing and the non-believers get in your way. In fact, the non-believers are tremendous allies. They fuel the flame inside of you.

Have the BEST day, keep Believing and bring the gift of the "Experience."

12 Ways To Use Elearning For Customer Acquisition And Retention Part 2

Writen by Dave Boggs

Customer Retention Uses of Web-based Learning Management Systems (LMSs)

8) Around-the-clock, 24-7 tech support. A web-based LMS used to deliver training and product support is able to provide 24-7 customer support, with courses on installation procedures and other types of important information. Top-notch customer support will therefore improve customer loyalty.

9) Map the perception of your company's product and services on your customer's mind. A web-based learning management system used to deliver training and product support works to reinforce the positive perception of your products and/or service's and the company's perception in your market.

10) Research, test, and introduce new products, add-ons, and services. A web-based learning management system can be used to introduce new products and services to your customer base. Use the system reports to tweak your product introduction campaigns to quickly build product saturation amongst your existing customer base.

11) Sell and market additional products, add-ons, and services to your existing customer base. As mentioned in item (7) above, a web-based LMS has features and functionality that can be used to sell and market your products to your current customers. The built-in online survey, e-mail messaging, system messaging, and a web conferencing tool give sales and marketing professionals many options for promoting their products and services.

12) Insure a continuous loop of communication with your customers to build loyalty. A web-based LMS can be used to build a never-ending stream of dialog between you and your customers. According to the Cluetrain Manifesto by Christopher Locke, Rick Levine, Doc Searls and David Weinberger, and Seth Godin's Permission Marketing, markets are conversations. A web-based learning management system is an efficient, cost-effective mechanism in which to maintain a dialog with your customers on many levels through different online mechanisms.

Why is this important?

In customer acquisition sales and marketing in a business-to-business context, more and varied touches of the prospect are needed in order to close the sale. Depending upon the complexity of the product and the sales situation in a business-to-business context, a prospect needs a minimum of six touches or even more per stakeholder to come to a close.

When deployed as part of your tactical customer acquisition strategy, a web-based learning management system is a potent and inexpensive way to generate many different types of touches for each of the stakeholders in the business-to-business sales process. This system used in conjunction with web marketing, direct mail, telemarketing, and other techniques will shorten your company's sales cycle and help to close more sales.

In customer retention sales and marketing in a business-to-business context, they have already purchased your products and services. Your product or service is being used to solve one or a combination of their business challenges. Many times they are more inclined to come back to you again to see if you have another product/service that can help them solve another business problem.

Customer retention sales and marketing should facilitate customers buying additional products and services. A web-based learning management system used in business-to-business, value-added, manufacturing, and technology industries can become an important conduit between your company's products and services and your customers.

How To Use The Multiplier Effect In Web Marketing

Writen by Michael Southon

One of the most exciting things about doing business online is the Multiplier Effect. It's the principal factor behind some of the fortunes that have been made on the Internet.

How does it work?

The Multiplier Effect occurs when your marketing technique either:

A) replicates itself over and over again, or B) feeds into other marketing techniques

A classic example of the first kind of Multiplier Effect is the Free E-Book.

Ten people download your Free E-book and offer it from their websites. Those ten people each get downloads and it's now being offered on 100 websites, and so on.

The second type of Multiplier Effect occurs when one marketing technique results in benefits from another marketing technique.

A good example of this is Link Exchange.

Let's say you get links on 100 different websites. When the Search Engines spider those websites, they find your link. Your 'link popularity' then increases and as a result, your ranking in the Search Engines goes up.

This kind of Multiplier Effect often results in a 'feedback loop'.

Because your website now ranks higher in the Search Engines, more people want to exchange links with you. You now have links on 300 different websites. This in turn gives you an even higher ranking in the Search Engines, and so on.

Some marketing techniques have no Multiplier Effect. For example, posting to FFA sites - after only a few hours your ad drops off the FFA site and you have to start again.

One of the most powerful Multiplier Effects I know of occurs when you write Ezine Articles.

The main purpose in writing Ezine Articles is to get them published in Ezines. And that on its own will bring you a lot of highly targeted traffic. But the benefits don't stop there.

When your Articles are posted on other people's websites you get free links (from your Resource Box) back to your website - more traffic. This increases your link popularity and so your ranking in the Search Engines goes up - more traffic. Eventually you'll find your Articles appearing in Free E-Books - even more traffic.

As you can see, this kind of Multiplier Effect rapidly builds up its own momentum - after a certain point it's virtually unstoppable.

Here are 2 ways you could start using the Multiplier Effect:

1) Launch a Free E-Book

Start collecting Ezine Articles on a particular topic. The topic could be 'Search Engine Positioning', 'Website Design', 'Affiliate Programs', 'Ad Writing', 'Choosing a Web Host', or it could be on 'Parenting', 'Gardening' etc.

When you have about 25 good Articles on your chosen topic, contact the Authors and ask their permission to include their Articles in your Free E-Book (with the Author's Resource Box).

Make sure your free E-Book has plenty of links back to your website.

The secret to making this technique work is to ensure that your Free E-Book is closely related to the theme of your website. For example, if you market 'Search Engine Submission' tools from your website, an excellent topic for your Free E-Book would be 'Search Engine Positioning'.

Here's a tip that will help you find out exactly how much traffic you're getting from your Free E-Book.

Make a copy of your index page and re-name it something else, such as: http://www.yourdomain.com/free-ebook.html

In your Free E-Book, instead of linking to your home page (index.html), link to the duplicate home page (free-ebook.html). This way, you'll be able to check in your webstats exactly how many visitors are coming to your website from your Free E-Book.

Include a short note on the index page of your Free E-Book telling people that they are welcome to give away your E-Book from their website.

Then submit your Free E-Book to these directories:

http://www.zdnet.com http://www.upload.com http://www.ebooksnbytes.com http://ebooks.searchking.com http://www.free-ebooks.net/ http://www.reportsearch.com/ http://www.ebookdirectory.com/ http://www.ldpublishing.com/index1.html

2) Write Ezine Articles

Whatever you do on the Web, you must have picked up dozens of tips along the way - tips that would be very useful to other people who are just starting out.

Turn those tips into a series of articles, give them catchy titles and submit them to these 'article announcement lists' (you'll have to subscribe first):

mailto:article_announce-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:aabusiness-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:aageneral-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:aainet-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:Free-Content-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:articles_archives-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:PublishInYours-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:publisher_network-subscribe@egroups.com mailto:ArticlePublish-subscribe@yahoogroups.com mailto:subportal-subscribe@egroups.com

Then put your articles on autoresponder and submit them to these 'online article archives':

http://www.ezinearticles.com/add_url.html http://www.ideamarketers.com/ http://www.mega-success.com/articles/submit.shtml http://cyberprosper.com/submit.shtml http://www.womans-net.com http://www.connectionteam.com/submit.html http://www.netterweb.com/articles/ http://article_depot.50megs.com/ http://www.ezadsuccess.com/articles/submit.shtml

Think of your Articles and Free E-Books as seeds - scatter them around and then watch them bear fruit and multiply.

7 Tips To Save Money On Marketing A Business

Writen by Sevim OR

The most effective marketing methods such as advertising in newspapers, popular magazines, on TV are very expensive for small businesses, especially for most start-ups.

Thanks to Internet, in the recent years, some very powerful, and cost-effective, even free marketing strategies have become popular.

Here are some tips to help you save money on marketing your business without sacrificing quality or results. In fact, some of them are very affective to boost your business cost effectively and fast. Implement them repeatedly and save a lot of money and time while attracting hundreds of thousands of more visitors to your website.

1. Link Exchanges
To exchange links with other Web sites is the most popular marketing strategy used by travel and tourism related businesses. Link exchanges help increase link popularity, and the chances to get higher search engine placements and ranks.

In addition, you will have higher chances to be seen by more surfers, to attract more visitors to your Web site, which will highly increase your sales, and return on investment (ROI).

To find the Web sites which are willing to reciprocate links, without the risk of spamming anyone, go to a major search engine such as Yahoo!, Google, MSN, and write in the search bar, "Travel & Tourism Link Exchanges" or, "Travel & Tourism Reciprocal Links".

The Web sites listed in the first 20 in these sections will provide you with the high quality link exchange resources. To exchange links with these higher ranked Web sites will also help your Web sites get higher ranks.

2. Directories
It is a good strategy to submit your Web site to Travel & Tourism Directories. Because directories have a lot of surfers and visitors who are trying to find the travel and tourism related businesses who offer the best deals to match their needs.

You can reach millions of targeted prospective buyers among these directories' visitors who might be your loyal customers later on. So, you should not underestimate the power of Directory marketing, and start to submit your Web site to the Travel & Tourism Directories as soon as possible. They will help you promote your business affectively, and mostly for FREE.

You can also find important marketing tips and resources in Directories to grow your business fast.

3. Pictures & Photographs
Images are vital elements to attract readers' attention to your ads, to your articles & press releases, to your Web sites. Make sure you use charming photos everywhere you can.

How and where to get such charming photos? Always keep in mind that almost all photos and images you can find on the Internet have Copy Rights, which means it's illegal to use them, so you should never re-publish them without the written permission of the original owners. Or, you will have to pay big amounts of money to settle the possible sues.

You can buy photos online if you find the ones you would like to use. But, the prices of real nice photos are high.

The best cost-effective solution is to take photos yourself, which will also give you the freedom to choose the places, angles, lights, and colors before taking the pictures to your heart's content.

When taking photographs, try to get as many shots in as possible. Then you would not need to pay other photographers to purchase photos to use in your websites, articles, press releases, and advertisements.

To take photographs yourself will save you a lot of money. If you have a library of images for your advertising needs, you will not only save tremendous amount of money, but save a lot of time, too. You can use them in your brochures, articles, press releases, as well as in your websites, and in your advertisements whenever you need..

4. Try to do What You can Yourself
You can, of course, hire experts to design your website, for writing press releases, articles, copy writing, advertising, photography, professionally.

But, you can do them, at least some of them, yourself when you want to save money. You will then spend money only for tasks that really need the expertise of a professional.

Keeping this in mind, we have provided information in the 'Grow Your Business Fast' program, on how to write a successful article yourself, how to write press releases in a traditional news story format, that will look real professional, how to market your products, services, informational material, affiliate programs to become a marketing champion in a few months very cost effectively, saving a lot of money.

5. Articles
When you write an article you can send it out yourself, or send it to a free or pro article distributor who will disseminate it to newsletters, e-zines, magazines, local and national newspapers, websites; follow it up and see if it was published in any of these publications. If it was, you can be sure that it covers certain required values.

Then you can use your 'accepted & published' article, or at least parts of it, in your website, in your sales letters, in your advertisements, you can even write it in the traditional news story format, and send it to a press release distributor to be sent out to media outlets.

6. Press-Releases
The best way to send your press releases out, is to submit it to a free or pro press release distributor. If you select a good one, they would send your press release to the media outlets where you would get the best results.

Some of them are experts who know how to do it, depending on their own experiences. If you choose a pro distributor, your chances to get outstanding results would be higher.

Your press release(s) that an editor wrote a news on and published in a popular publication would attract a lot of visitors to your Web site, eventually increases your sales tremendously; also it would be a good sample for you to use the same values in your future press releases.

7. Your Ads
You can implement the same strategies explained in #3 above, for your ads, too. Watch closely which of your ads generated more traffic and sales. Then, use them at your website, in your newsletter, other related newsletters, use the most powerful lines in your signature file, in your classified ads, in the safe mailing lists, e-zines, in your solo ads ... everywhere possible, over and over again. Get the same positive results repeatedly.

Internet Marketing 101 Putting An Online Twist On An Offline Model

Writen by Kathryn Beach

If you're just starting out in internet marketing, you probably feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information available. The learning curve is less like a hill and more like a cliff! If you've been at this business for a while, you may be frustrated that you're still not making any money, or not enough money. You may be wondering why no one is reading your ads, or why all those visitors to your site are not buying anything and not returning. Where do you start? How do you convert the casual visitor to a return customer?

Relax and breathe. None of us was born an internet marketer. We all have to start someplace. A great place to start is by looking at something you already DO know, offline business. We all shop somewhere. Pick a store you're familiar with, maybe the grocery store where you shop at least once a week. Pick a small store to focus on, not a huge supermarket. Now pretend that's just an empty lot or building, and you're an aspiring grocer. What do you need to do?

There's 3 big steps you need to take.

  1. First you have to have a crystal clear picture in your mind of exactly what you want to do. What do you want to sell, and what do you want your store to look like? Spend some time dreaming, so you can see everyone who is in your store and what they are buying. Your store needs four walls, a floor, doors and windows, and a roof. You need to decide on size, the first step is to figure out what you want to sell. You think about what people in your town need and buy regularly, the availability of these products in other well established stores, and decide on your niche and your location. Maybe it's bread, canned goods, cereals, candy, ice cream, soda, milk, and cigarettes on a busy corner near a residential area with no other store in walking distance. Maybe it's a natural food store in a yuppie neighborhood. Maybe it's gas and snack foods near a highway.

  2. Secondly, you have to understand what you need to have in place to make that dream come true, and how you're going to do it. What does your store need by way of infrastructure? You need shelves, freezers and refrigerated cases, a counter and a cash register. Probably you need a small office and bathroom as well. You need electricity, lighting, heat, air conditioning, desk, chair, phone, fax, maybe some music, paint, flooring, security cameras and so on.

Once you decide on the layout of the store, you will know what size of a building you need to build, buy or rent. How are you going to finance this, and how will you afford to stock your store, from savings or from a loan?

  3. Assuming that you now have a fully-stocked and operational store, how will you get people to shop there? You could advertise in newspapers, radio and tv; put up signs; offer door prizes and/or sales; offer free advice and information (recipes, menus, shopping lists, health and nutrition information, diet information); sponsor events (a booksigning by a famous cookbook author, co-sponsor a food related festival); build familiarity and trust by joining social, charity or business clubs, or volunteering at local events.
Fine and good, you say, but I still don't know how to make money online. Let's take the example we just developed and convert it to online business.

Gazing Into Your Crystal Ball

First the concept. What do YOU want to do? What do the people that frequent the internet want? First and foremost, right behind email, people online are looking for information. There are places online you can go to research hot topics, such as Overture's Keyword Selector Tool. Here you can see how many times a word or phrase was searched in the last month. You can do a Google search for these terms to see how many websites are already available sharing that information. As you keep narrowing down your focus, balance between your passion, what other people want, and what's already available. A very small niche with very little competition with targeted promotions can become a very lucrative business.

Your Shopping List

Now the infrastructure, the Short List:

a) internet real estate = a website. This can be an affiliate site or your own. You can get a free website with no outside advertising here: http://www.finitesite.com

b) products: No matter what your interests, there's an affiliate program with products that fit; you may want to sell related ebooks, Amazon.com books, etc. Clickbank is a good place to find electronic information products.

c) tools: you will need a tracking system (known as a link tracker); an autoresponder; a link rotator.

d) knowledge: you will need a splash page program and/or some basic html and advertising knowledge. A free html tutorial: http://www.pagetutor.com

e) an expense budget, no matter how small at first.

You Need More Than Two Cans and a String

Promotion: people enter your world (the internet) via a browser. Since "the internet" is intangible, many people confuse the vehicle (AOL or Yahoo!, for example) with the destination itself, the internet. So let's be gentle with our potential visitors and make their journey from landing pad to your neighborhood as effortless, pleasant and convenient as possible.

If they are interested in buying widgets online, they will soon realize that there are a million widget salesmen out there. So they start narrowing down their search, and they comparison shop. First and foremost, they are information gatherers. Where do they go first? Probably to a search engine. Then they start exploring. They visit a site; if it fits their needs, they may bookmark it before they move on. When they move on, they may return to their Google or Yahoo! search results, or they may follow a link off of the page they visited.

So getting yourself listed in the search engines is important. This does not require your own domain name, although it's the best route to go, but a website where you can control your page content is essential. A search engine will not list a replicated affiliate website, such as http://any-old-program.com/aff_id=102109 but it will gladly list http://your-domain.com/any-old-program. Search engines want new, original information, so write something original on your website about every program you join. Link your articles, etc. to your web page, then link that page to your affiliate program.

Your own domain name, carefully chosen, will help to brand either your name or your website name, such as wallywalton.com wallyswidgets.com widgetworld.com etc. If you get a free website with finitesite.com, your url will be finitesite.com/wallywalton or something like that. It might be finitesite.com/member/wallywalton -- I forget, it's been a while since I had a site with them :) With some work, you can get a site with a url like this into the search engines. It's a great way to start if you can't afford domain name, hosting etc.

Sooner or later, your site visitor will be ready for a purchase. Maybe they will drive off to the nearest hardware store armed with all their new information and buy a widget there. If they found your site in the search engine, visited and bookmarked it, maybe they'll return and buy from you. Maybe they'll buy from the site they went to after your site. But 9 times out of 10, once they've left your site, they're gone forever.

And Now the Quiz, Purely Common Sense

How do you get them to come back? Here's a pop quiz for you, choose the best answer (it's a no-brainer):

a) offering so much valuable information, they bookmark your site and return on their own;

b) building so much trust and familiarity that, when they think of widgets, or of asking for an opinion, or for buying anything widget-like, they think of you (that's called branding your name);

c) promoting your website so much that, when they think of widgets, they automatically think of your website (that's also branding, the name of your site in this case)

d) have a mailing list they can subscribe to (this might be the online equivalent of a guest book in a store) and receive updates on information on your website;

e) have contests on your site;

f) endorse other people's sites and products, with an appropriate byline including your own url;

g) give away things;

h) hang out in places online that your potential visitors frequent (forums, bulletin boards, chat rooms, conferences, seminars) and make friends, give away free information and helpful links and tools, include your url in your signature where allowed;

i) blogging and using RSS feeds to keep people thinking of you and your widgets;

j) being a part of the search engine revolution and exploring the world of tagging, or social bookmarks (creating your own search engine with other like-minded anarchists :)

k) all of the above.

Each of these concept, infrastructure, and promotion ideas could be an article in its own right; but this is your basic outline for building your online business. The ultimate power of the internet is to level the playing field for both major corporations, little ol' you, and everyone in between. A business that fully utilizes the internet can throw away the purchased leads list, because cold calling and cold emailing is a thing of the past. Using the internet to its fullest business potential means putting your message where your potential customers can find it, and letting them come emailing, looking and calling for you.

Be sure to take advantage of the unique power of the internet, and keep the "internet" in your
internet marketing.

Shoppers Going Online First

Writen by Rich Carter

Are you generating sales for that new widget you invented? Perhaps your going for the affiliate commissions and promoting someone elses widget. Either way, there is some very good news for all aspiring netreprenuers. Recent studies such as the one performed by burst media found that 49.8% of the people asked said that television was the media that most effectively grabbed thier attention.

Now comes the good news. The internet came in as the second type of media with 22.3% of respondents going online to browse what interests them, followed by magazines newspapers and radio respectively.

That should have you out of your chair and doing the happy dance considering that the internet is still the newest of the lot.

The number of new online entreprenuers will also be increasing due to the fact that more and more working moms have decided that they want to and now have the opportunity to stay home while they conduct business online while at the same time watching and raising their children themselves instead of farming them out to the daycare centers.

Hopefully, the ones that do decide to start a new journey online will be able to avoid the scams and the hype that so many marketers fall for (yours truely included) when their just beginning.

These days though, it's much easier to find reputable business owners and affiliate programs and mentors such as the wonderful teachers at the "affiliate classroom" or "linkshare" and "clickbank and of course "Amazon.

E-bay is always a good starting place as well for new stay at home moms who wish to get their feet wet in the online marketplace.

So is it easy to start a new career online? absolutely not. It is simple though with the right guidence, and all of, or rather most of the tried and true marketing strategies that have worked so well over the years in the real world carry over into cyberspace very well.

Actually the hardest part for the people that are Very green behind the ears is finding a good mentor.

They Are out there, and they need to find them first before wasting any time or money trying to just feel their way through how to operate a business.

Now is the time though to start because of the trends that online marketers are seeing in the consumers.

As the internet grows, so too, do the number of households that are using their trusty laptop or home computers to gather information about products and services that they want to purchase.

Oh and it gets even better.

It seems that the more that households make, the more likely they are to fly through cyberspace for what they want rather than trudging across the tundra at the local malls.

The studies show that the number of consumers that use the internet as their primary source of information about what they want to purchase are 50.6% for households bringing in $35.000 per year.

As income rises the percentage rises with 58.1% who earn between $35.000-$49.999, to 61.3% at $50.000 - $75.999 and a whopping 69.2% at the $75.000 plus range.

When the brick and mortor operators find out about these studies, the ad dollars going to TV at the moment will soon be moving online.

So if you are already here (online) get ready for the flood.

Dont-cha just love it when a plan comes together.

Who Can Benefit From Website Marketing

Writen by Charles Preston

Each Day, there are millions of Americans that rely on their websites to make them money. For many, their website is their only source of income. If you are one of those individuals then you can benefit from website marketing, if you haven't already.

Unfortunately, the problem is that there are many website owners who believe that there isn't anything that website marketing could do for them. This is simply not true.

Anyone who wants to benefit from website marketing has the ability to do so. As previously mentioned, those that have a website to generate income for themselves and their family can find the most benefits from website marketing, but it doesn't stop there.

No matter what type of website you have, or plan on developing in the future, website marketing can help.

Website marketing comes in number of different forms. No matter which form, the goal of website marketing is to increase the number of internet users who make it to your website. This is most often done with a creative marketing strategy. In a way, website marketing is similar to off the internet marketing. Storefront retail stores use various marketing techniques to drive in customers and you are encouraged to do the same with your website.

Website marketing is most often offered by a trained and experienced professional. It is possible that you may be able to develop your own website marketing plan; however, many online business owners find it easier to pay for assistance. Since this assistance will most likely paid for, you are encouraged to examine what the proper marketing can do for your website.

Online stores are rapidly increasing popular. In addition to large online retail chains, many individuals are developing their own businesses by selling homemade products and merchandise. If you own your an online store, no matter what you sell, it is likely that you could see a large increase in profits from the proper website marketing. When selling is involved, the more internet users that visit your site, the more likely it is that your sales will increase.

In addition to online stores, there are many individuals who are offering a service over the internet. This service may include, but is not limited to, web design, freelance writing, and even website marketing. As with online stores, if your website is used to promote a service that you are offering for a small fee, you will find website marketing invaluable.

Personal websites or blogs are also rapidly increasing in popularity. More and more individuals are tossing up a personal blog or website. Website marketing can also increase the number of visitors to your personal webpage or blog. The only problem, for many, is that most do not receive money for running a personal website or blog. Unlike with websites selling merchandise or a service, a personal website or blog will not pay for its own website marketing. However, that does not mean that you could not benefit from it.

If you are interested in promoting your website to the general public with website marketing, you will have to decide what you will do next. Website marketing specialists can be found all over the internet. You can easily request their services, many for a small fee. To implement your own internet marketing strategy, you are encouraged to get research today because it is likely that you will have a lot to learn.

How To Let Your Customers Search For You Part 3

Writen by Dave Origano

Thank you for stopping by part 3 of the article series on 'How To Let Your Customers Search For YOU!' In this part I will teach you one more technique that is often overlooked, but will deliver tremendous results!

In the previous parts I have told you about posting at forums, giving honest advice, writing articles for forums and much more. Now we have come to the next big step to your allround recognition. Before I reveal this dirty little secret, I want you to subscribe for my online newsletter.

The newsletter is sent out once a week and contains high quality, pure original content. All the articles that are published in the newsletter are yours to use in your own business, as long as you keep the resource-box attached. The big benefit of being a subscriber is that I write articles and reports that are for subscribers only! You will get access to hot new downloads, free eBooks, free articles and much more! Please go here now, and subscribe!

Now I just told you about my newsletter, and that is just the little secret I wanted to tell you about. At this very moment you should have various articles written, ready to be published at forums and in E-Zines!

Do a search on Google for your keywords and 'newsletter', and contact all the website owners about your articles. Give them a little praise, to gain their attention, and attach your articles immidiately. To get them to read your email, only put praise in the subject line!

The reason why those emails are truly read is because every webmaster and publisher loves praise for his work, he finally gets the recognition he wants so bad! You can use that for your own benefit, and get them to publish your articles without hesitation.

When you have sent out the emails, do a search for related websites and article databases. Again email all the site owners with praise and your articles. If there is an only submission form, just use that form, but still email them with praise noting that you also submitted some articles in their database.

I urge you to keep a list of all the emails, websites and names you send emails to. Later on you can check everybody who responds. From there you can start building a list on where to get your articles published when you got more. You should utilize this list everytime you got two or three new articles.

To keep them a bit busy, and awaiting your upcoming articles, you should give them regular advice for their websites and business. You should also ask them if they need any other help from you. That why you build up a relationship with those publishers, and both can gain a lot out of it!

Dave Origano is a 24-years old, who enjoys life within the fullest extent of the word. Web Content Amp Consumer Corporate Sites More Important Than You Realize

Writen by Joel Walsh

Executive summary: for a website to be truly successful, it can't just be a shopping cart, a page full of advertisements, or a lead capture form. You can keep such sites alive with massive advertising outlays. But to enjoy natural traffic, a website needs to be a destination that people actually want to go to willingly. And that requires some kind of content. Almost every successful website is built on content, as I'll show with some big-name examples.

If you think about it, there is not a single solitary major successful website that is not based on content. It's amazing how often businesses on the web forget about this. Partly that's because we've come to think of content so narrowly, usually as static text.

Certainly, most content is text, and text usually presents by far the best return on investment. In no small part because it's a magic amulet that draws search engine traffic to a website like suitors to an unmarried princess. But there are other kinds of content besides text. These other kinds of content include games, quizzes, and other interactives, but above all, images. In short, no major website has ever gotten along without some kind of content. True, you can advertise your way to the top, but that's a whole lot of free web traffic, not to mention mindshare, goodwill, and sales opportunities to pass up.

Don't believe me? Let's look at some of the web's most phenomenally successful sites and how they depend on content. For the sake of argument, I'll leave out the sites everyone would recognize as content sites, such as newspaper sites and online magazines such as cnet.com, bankrate.com and salon.com

Oft-overlooked Content-Based Sites

  • Google. Content: the search results. Would you use Google if it were just the ads and the spare graphic design? No, you go to Google because it produces the best search results. You may not usually think of the search results as content, but they are–and some of the most carefully planned content on the web. An untold investment of cash and brilliance has gone into every single page of search results Google has ever produced. It may not be art, but it's certainly a lot more than spare design and little advertisements.
  • Yahoo and MSN. Aside from search results, numbers two and three in the search game boost their traffic with informational articles and news, including some of the catchiest headlines in the world. Yahoo also complements its articles with games.
  • Match.com The ultimate in user-contributed content: members' pictures, profiles, and personal descriptions are the content on this site. Match.com stands out among the personals sites for beefing up this content with professionally written articles and even some seemingly high-tech personality profiling webware.
  • Naughty picture sites. Responsible for perhaps 25% of all web traffic, the seeming bonanza won by sites offering naughty-naughty pictures convinces many people that content isn't necessary. But these sites are all about content. Only the content is rarely text and most often images or videos (at least, that's what I've been told by informants who know people who know people who've visited these sites). This sector has not gotten wealthy through links, advertising, and check-out pages alone.
  • Play-for-money sites. This is a category of sites I dare not mention by name for fear of this article being filtered before it can reach you. These sites have been phenomenally successful at separating the gullible, curious, addicted and just plain stupid from their money. Again, there aren't many articles here, but the games themselves are content enough.
  • Craiglist. The ultimate bastion of user-contributed content, this site is remarkable for its near abandonment of graphic design, advertising, and artificial SEO, the mainstays of most website budgets. Craislist owes its phenomenal success to giving people a space to say whatever they want to say, and putting their words front, center, and everywhere else.
  • Amazon. No small part of Amazon's leg up on the competition comes from content, particularly text. Amazon displays every shred of information the manufacturers or publishers provide about an item, not just the tiny blurb most sites rely on. Then there are the famous customer reviews. Finally, Amazon puts a finishing touch on its content with professionally crafted reviews written especially for the Amazon site. Don't think all this is important? How often have you bought something from Amazon after not having read through a good part of the information on the page?

I've deliberately chosen the above sites because they don't rely exclusively on articles, the most traditional type of web content. Still, for most sites, articles are the way to go. Their natural advantages include the facts that they are magnets for search engine traffic, and have a built-in audience in the still millions-strong group of literate web users, who may not like images or interactive content as much.

In short, while you can throw advertising at a lead capture form or shopping cart and make it successful, for truly natural success, a site needs something that makes people want to come on their own. And that means you need content, whether naughty pictures, unique web-software, or well-written articles.

How To Write An Online Marketing Plan

Writen by Rhonda Winn

Today's businesses are faced with endless options for executing an online marketing campaign. Business owners have to place a considerable amount of time and effort to ensure their marketing campaign doesn't result in over inflated budgets and nonperforming strategies. The online arena of marketing, unlike other media outlets, have tons of cheap and quick marketing tools that could tempt business owners on a shoe-string to use untested strategies without a formal plan. The seemingly low-cost options could eventually lead to unexpected budget problems.

The best way is to incorporate a specialized plan into a traditional marketing plan. This is called an online or Internet marketing plan. Like a typical marketing plan, an online marketing plan is meant to formalize a business owner's planned efforts of positioning his product or service in a specific business environment. In addition, an online marketing plan may include estimated marketing costs and how various marketing tools that will be used. Unlike a traditional marketing plan, an online marketing plan specifically deals with the unique problems of the Internet and the various marketing methods available online. An Internet marketing plan can exist within a complete marketing plan.

Below are key sections to include in your online marketing plan. Although this covers most important sections, you may find as you grow, you need to include additional sections.

  • Objective - What is your site meant to accomplish? You can have several objectives but for the sake of simplicity try narrowing your list and make sure you prioritize and plan accordingly.
  • Strategy - What do customers need to know before purchasing? What sort of features will include on your site to exceed visitors' expectations?
  • Pricing Policy - Be sure to conduct solid research regarding your product pricing. Compare to other sites that offer similar products or services. Include details regarding shipping and handling. Be sure to state how you derived at your final price.
  • Submissions/Linking - What sites will you link to? How will you manage an affiliate program? How will you maintain your listing on top search engines? Will you submit free versions or products to community web sites for increased visibility? List all pertinent information, including e-mail and web addresses of your link network.
  • Reports - How will your track your ad performance and profile your customers? List the type of technology you will use and exactly what information it collects. You can also describe how this information will impact future decisions.
  • Ordering - What system will you use to allow for ordering on your site? Describe the process and the benefits of using the system you've chosen. Include any links to any companies that facilitates your ability to process orders such as merchant account providers and banks.
  • Security - What security system will you use to protect your customers' information? Include what statement you will place on your site to notify your customers of your security precautions.
  • Capture Contact Information - How will you obtain contact information from people visiting you site? Include any incentives you will offer to persuade people to log on to your site.
  • Content - What useful information can you provide your visitors to ensure their return? List any sources for free articles, downloads you'll provide, links, and other information.
  • Maintenance - Avoid making superfluous changes. Improve your site by listening to your visitors and reviewing sites statistics. List what technology you have in place to facilitate basic changes.
  • Action Items - List all the steps you must take in order to execute your online marketing plan.

The key to a successful online marketing plan is consistency coupled with an organized and targeted plan. Evaluating your online marketing strategies now will save you time and money in the long run. Once you have everything written out use the action item section to execute you plan over an established period of time for maximum results.

What Customers Expect From Your Web Site

Writen by Jennifer McGroary

Customers and potential customers visit your web site with expectations, and it is crucial for you to cater to them in order to have your business thrive. Local customers already familiar with you might be willing to overlook small errors or discrepancies, but first-time visitors tend to be less forgiving and will move on to the next business down the line if they find yours lacking. As a general rule, it is good business and marketing practice to proof your web site for text accuracy and effective presentation.

Marketing plays a major role in how you fashion your web site, as it dictates how you want your site arranged and what you want your customers to retain. Just because you are a small, local company does not mean you have to think that way! Strive for exceeding even your own expectations and that will impress customers enough to keep you in mind for what they came to you for in the first place—seeking your business.

Pleasing Your Customers

1. Satisfy their curiosity. Having clear explanations of what your company advocates, how it runs, and how customers can contact you will allow customers to verify how well you know the industry or products and they will have confidence in knowing you are honest and legitimate. Time is precious to all, and no one wants to spend an excessive amount of time wading through your web site to find what they want. Keep your graphics small enough to view comfortably so that they appear shortly after arriving onto your site. Include all pertinent information about your products or services where customers will know within the first few minutes of reading.

2. Woo them. An eye-catching, appealing web site is easier on the eyes and encourages a quick read. Use text sparingly, elaborating on what is necessary. Tools they can use to navigate through your information will also provide a higher level of interest, such as inserting a search feature to allow customers to search through your web site by typing in keyword phrases. Tailor your marketing to the nature of your industry. If you are a realtor, include an interactive mortgage calculator; if you offer audio or video services, you can include small sample sound bytes and videos for customers to preview at the click of a mouse; if you sell sports gear, allow customers to get 360 degree views and be able to zoom-in or out with products.

3. Offer to help. Knowing that you are there to assist them at any point during their visit to your web site lets them know you are truly dedicated to welcoming their business. Offer email support, a local or toll-free customer service line, or a self-help section with a list of the most popular questions and their answers.

4. Include reviews. Customers' opinions rely heavily on what others have to say about your services. Successful marketing involves including feedback from past customers to build new customers' faith in you.

Following those steps, your local company will join the Internet age—and will stand to grow in its success among the rest of the crowd.

What About Those Big Headlines With Big Claims

Writen by Jessie McCloud

We've all seen the big headlines with huge claims of making thousands of dollars a day from well known and no so well known marketers. Some of these claim $30,000 in 3 months, or $1000 dollars a day, or some other big number. What if I told you that there was actually some truth behind these claims? What if I told you that there were actually people out there who were making this kind of money? Would you believe me? Well for many of these headlines, they hold a lot of truth.

There really are people out there that are making $1000's each and every day, but those headlines are leaving a lot out. Those headlines don't tell you that it takes hard work and time to make that much money. When we buy into those headlines, we automatically think we'll instantly be making that kind of money, but that's simply not true.

There's no such thing as instant success, or instantly making $1000's each day. It all starts with doing the little things. You have to start somewhere and starting with the little things that lead up to making big money is where you should focus if you're not making any money online.

For instance, I have a small site that focuses on teaching other people to build their own email list in any niche that they are in. This site consists of a landing page to collect email addresses, a package of products that teach about building an email list, and a few pages with articles I've written about building an email list.

First I had to build the site, find products related to the site to sell as a package, loaded my autoresponder with pre-written content about list building and also some promotional emails about products related to list building that I was an affiliate for, and write articles to add content to the site. These were all little things, but they got me setup.

Next I had to write a few articles to submit to the article directories, created ads to advertise in ezines related to list building, placed classified ads, and a few other things to get traffic coming to my site. Again, all of these were little things, but I had to do it to get people coming to my site.

Once the traffic started coming in, I was getting subscribers that would read my emails, and money started trickling in from the offers I was promoting within the content I had loaded to my autoresponder via my affiliate links. Then the package of products I had put together that all focused on list building started getting orders. Visitors were also visiting the pages I had added to my site with content about list building started getting visitors, and since I had put Google Adsense ads on those page, I was getting a little money from the site that way too.

The first month the site was up, I made a little over $300. Not much for a month, but it was $300 dollars more than I had, and it all come from doing little things. A few months later I was making over $1000 a month from the site, and I now make that and sometimes more from that site.

Another example of a site that I have is an article directory site in the Internet marketing niche. People can submit their articles related to Internet marketing here at no charge. I have placed Google Adsense ads on this site, and a newsletter related to Internet marketing where I promote products related to Internet marketing. It didn't take me long at all to set the site up. I used a script I found online, and had it set up in a day.

Once the site was setup, I wrote a few articles on how to get traffic by submitting your articles to article directories, I advertised my site in a few ezines related to Internet marketing, and offered free advertising on the site to a few people who would email their list about my new site. All of these little things got traffic to my site that just took a day to setup, and a few days to get all my promotions in place and I was instantly making money.

The first month I had this site setup, I made just over $130. Now a few months later, people have submitted their articles to the site allowing it to grow and get ranked well in the search engines which provides a wonderful source of traffic, and I make over $3000 a month from this site now, and I hardly have to touch it.

So by doing several little things, with just these two sites, I make over $4000 a month. These are just two sites I have. I have several more of these little sites that make me a little money each, but when you put them all together, I am making $1000's of dollars a day.

So, the next time you see one of those big headlines that make big claims think to yourself what little things you could be doing right then so that you really can be making $1000's of dollars each day!

What To Look For When Buying Plr Articles

Writen by Ian G Williamson

Keen users of Private Label Rights content are delighted to see more and more PLR sites appearing. The proliferation of such sites has, however, given rise to a new problem - the overall quality of the articles users pay for. Good (and reliable) writers are snapped up fast and given ongoing work. Regrettably, some PLR site owners seem to be only concerned with getting a batch of articles uploaded no matter what the quality.

Competition, as we all know, is a GOOD thing. Quite a number of PLR users are now making a practice of signing up to check out the quality of what's on offer in a new site. If they like it, they stay. If they don't - they vote with their feet. (Or, more appropriately, with the 'cancel this subscription' option at PayPal.)

=== Your Rights as a PLR Site Subscriber ===

Don't feel that you have to accept the articles you get no matter what the quality. You are entitled to get articles and/or ebooks that have been proofread and edited to correct grammar and spelling. It is the responsibility of the PLR site owner to check that the articles are of an acceptable standard (or to hire someone to do this for them).

PLR users expect to have to tweak and change an article to create unique website content. They should not, however, have to edit every article. We all expect an error to creep in here and there - but an entire batch of articles written by someone whose language is quite obviously NOT English is not acceptable. Nobody wants to have to copy-edit every one of 20 articles before turning them into an e-book!

=== What You Can Do If You Are Not Satisfied With the Quality of PLR Content ===

The first and most obvious option is to cancel your subscription. However, you would be doing everyone a favor if you took the time to contact the site owner to explain why you are not happy. Copy and paste a few examples from the articles to demonstrate the errors.

In the past, PLR site owners have sent back batches of articles to be corrected and/or rewritten when they are not satisfied with the job. In extreme cases, they cut their losses and just hire a new writer. Any PLR site owner who wants to build a profitable and well-regarded business will be interested in working with you on this - they don't want to lose customers!

If you can't get any satisfaction, move on. Sample the content of several sites. Ask for recommendations from friends or other publishers before you sign up. (Look for more than one satisfied customer - never forget that some reviews are there solely to get you to sign up via the reviewer's affiliate link.)

=== Find a Site to Satisfy Your Personal Needs ===

Different sites offer different things. Some sites offer articles and completed e-books, sales letters, and well-produced graphics. Others provide only articles and a few bonus products.

If you are a competent graphic designer and know your way around programs like Photoshop, graphics may not be important to you. (Indeed, you may prefer to create your own graphics so your site looks different to everyone else's.) Some sites offer 'extras' like web hosting and autoresponders, plus ready-made AdSense sites. If you are just starting out, you may like these all-in-one solutions.

Check out the following:

- What you get for your monthly subscription - articles, e-books, e-courses, AdSense sites, graphics, sales letters etc
- The quality of the articles that are immediately available - general style, grammar, and spelling
- The membership cap (how many people have access to the same articles and books?)
- The regularity with which content is posted. (Check out the forum, if there's one available. Are there constant complaints or queries about when this month's content will be available?)
- The range of topics covered. You will find that some sites specialize in one subject area, while others cover a broad range of topics. Are you using enough of the monthly content to make it worth your while? There's not much point in being able to access 200 articles a month if you can use only five of them.

It's common for PLR users to belong to more than one site. An example: $200 a month spread between four to six sites comes to only $2,400 a year - which is an excellent business investment compared to the cost of hiring your own writer. Well-written, carefully-edited PLR articles are usually well worth the monthly fee. Take the time to assess the content of any PLR site - and stay with the ones that believe in quality control.

How To Skyrocket Your Profits By 267 With One Simple Sentence

Writen by Seth Chong

If you have even a passing interest in the topic of boosting your profits, then you should take a look at the following information. This enlightening article presents some of the latest news on the subject of boost your profits.

Don't think it's possible to jump sales by 267% with one sentence? I'll show you how I did it and you can implement the same strategy in less than 5 minutes on your site!

This strategy is so powerful that it can literally jump your profits OVERNIGHT!

All people doing business on the Internet are always trying to find ways to get their offer the the most targeted prospects available. Always trying to figure out, "What do I offer my proven customer next?"

Here's what I did to BLAZE profits 267% overnight:

When my customers would click order they would be taken directly to a secure order form to enter their payment information. I came with the following strategy when brainstorming one late night....

Instead of sending them directly to the payment page I setup a page that offered a discount of 10% of their order if they would answer one simple question:

Once you begin to move beyond basic background information, you begin to realize that there's more to boost your profits than you may have first thought.

What would you be most likely to purchase in the next three months?

I then had a drop down menu with three products I was selling at the time.

All the customer had to do was enter their e-mail address and then choose an answer and they would instantly be taken to the order form with the 10% discount.

Why did I give them 10% off for that one simple question?

When they submitted that question it was automatically entered into a data base with all the other customers that took me up on the offer. Two months after implementing this one simple question I pulled up my database, filtered it to the products customers expressed interest in and send a special customer offer to each of them.

What happened? Out of 122 customers, 97 bought! can you belive that? An incredible 80% response rate on a sales letter is unheard of...but these customers where so targeted because of the simple question I setup that the response rate was unreal!

Jump on this strategy now, you just can't afford to pass up that kind of profit!

Market Your Business Using Practical Small Business Internet Marketing Tips And Tricks

Writen by Lonnie Pacelli

Got a website but no traffic? Is your small business internet marketing ineffective? Consider these small business internet marketing tips and tricks to help drive traffic to your website:

* Get an automated eCommerce system - These can be really good, very comprehensive and very inexpensive. The good ones can do everything from customer base management to product management to shopping cart to newsletter broadcasts.

* Get a cheap and reliable merchant account provider - You can get merchant account providers that do both the merchant account and internet gateway for you. Hint: your bank is probably more expensive than the discount providers out there.

* Put a link back to your website in your email autosignature - This doesn't need to be obnoxious, just a simple link that email recipients can click on to see your website.

* Do selective link trading - Link trade, but make sure the content on the other website is similar to your own. Don't touch "link farms" with a ten-foot pole; search engines hate them.

* Write articles and include your website address - There are a number of article databases out there. Find some article databases which house content similar to yours and write a few articles. You'd be amazed at where your articles show up!

* Write newsletters - Allow for customers and visitors to subscribe to a newsletter to get regular visibility to you and your company.

* Consider using a search engine submission services - These services submit your site to multiple search engines & directories. Can be helpful particularly if your website is new.

* Set up an affiliates program - Allow for others to promote your products on a commission basis. Again a good eCommerce system should already have this built in.

* Download the Google Toolbar - The Google Toolbar has a nifty feature which shows you the page rank (0-10 scale) of every site you visit. The higher your page ranking the higher your placement in search engines.

* Set up multiple websites - Got three services you perform? Set up three different websites with domain names that match your keywords. Super cheap to do and can be very effective.

* Consider setting up a Google AdWords account - You pay on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis to get your website advertised. Can be effective but also can get very expensive.
