Internet Marketing From A Customers View

Writen by Suresh Babu

Today I was talking to a customer about why your Business needs Internet Marketing Strategy? We had a very interesting conversation. He said....

"I don't want to be number 1 in Google, I already have clients and I am doing well for B2B, so I don't expect to be top rankings in search engines. But I wanted to know how the website can be user friendly"?

Here is the interesting part. "How the Website can me made user friendly"? Don't Google and other Search Engines expect the same too? Yes that is what all the search engines expect. The easier and useful for the users, the most importance it gives for ranking too.

Lets see some of the Guidelines by Google Google Says:

Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link.

Why Google says that? So that it is easier for the users to have a clear hierarchy and text link, all users should be able to read. Text links helps everyone to view. No matter what browser, what version the user use. The text makes everyone to access. Users don't want to have trouble finding other pages, text link makes it easier to access other pages. If I want to buy something online, I want to know more about the company and their history, so I like to go read more about them. So make all the pages reachable from at least one static text link

Google Says: Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 100 or so links, you may want to break the site map into separate pages.

Why Google says that? Users don't want be lost exploring the site, they like to easily navigate your website like a shopping complex. In case even if they were lost they can go to the maps and find their destination. And once they view they view the map, It should be easier to find their destination, so organize your site maps

Google Says: Create a useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.

Why Google says that? User wants to find useful information that is the reason they go online. To find information. Give visitors useful, valuable information. Give more links, tips and write articles about your expertise. Give some value to the users, they will come back to your site. Describe the content, not everyone using the internet is an expert. Help them to understand what the content is about.

Google Says: Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it.

Why Google says that? Keyword. The words users' type to find your site. Have that word in the copy so that users know that this site is about that particular keyword. Make it easier for search engine to find your website and index it.

Google Says: Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. The Google crawler doesn't recognize text contained in images.

Why Google says that? No all users can view images. It might not be compatible in all browsers. Not only the users can't view even the crawlers doesn't recognize image.

Google Says: Make sure that your TITLE and ALT tags are descriptive and accurate.

Why Google says that? Give a Title and describe the alt tags. Alt tags are used to show what the image is about. Everyone needs a Title to recognize. Giving a title is giving a name. Help others know what this site is about by seeing the Title.

Google Says: Check for broken links and correct HTML.

Why Google says that? Nobody wants to view a bad URL or Error when they visit a site. When a user clicks on the links, they expect to go that page to view that page. Correct HTML helps and gives a standard to your website.

Google says: If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains a "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few.

Why Google says that? If you have a dynamic page make is easier for users and search engines to navigate and find out. Don't confuse the users and the search engines

Google says: Keep the links on a given page to a reasonable number (fewer than 100).

Why Google says that? Don't fill the page with link, Limit your links, again don't confuse your users

Internet Profits Revealed The Simple Philosophy That Works

Writen by Joseph Pattison

Why is profiting on the Internet so hard for most people? If there is so much money to made, why do so many continue to struggle? There are secrets to profiting wildly online, and I assume you're as deserving as the next person, so what rationale could you possibly use for justifying missing out?

First of all, it is helpful to understand the prevailing mentality among not-so-successful Internet marketers, so you can learn to avoid it and join the ranks of the top one percent of marketers who are able to enjoy true lifestyle – the combination of time and money.

One aspect of this mentality is the false belief among some marketers that is possible to profit long-term without offering potential customers something of real value, let alone underpromising and overdelivering..

If you only learn one thing in your lifetime about business, it should be the full awareness of the extraordinary power of delivering incredible value to your potential customer, whether you wish to sell your own product or make an affiliate sale.

Another aspect is short-sightedness – the desire to make a quick sale without even considering the possibility of ongoing, residual profits. If you can do the work once and get paid forever by expending the same effort that it takes to make a one-time sale, how crazy would you be to pass up the opportunity?

If you couple vision with the desire to overdeliver and overdeliver and overdeliver some more, then it is very possible that great wealth may come your way at some time in the future.

Obviously, the concept sounds good, but what are the mechanics of turning your dreams into reality via the Internet?

To generate substantial Internet profits, you must help others to succeed in order to succeed yourself. Pushing a hard sell will keep you at your job for a very long time, so why not have fun giving your potential customers what they want, and profit wildly at the same time? So, without further ado, here are several prerequisites for creating a true Internet empire.

First of all, you must help others to profit in order to profit yourself. What does that mean? Simply put, you must create your own business model, or become part of one, that makes it easy for other potential marketers to generate massive traffic, which in turn should yield massive profits.

Secondly, you must be part of a profit structure that has the potential to go on forever. The only business model with the possibility of doing this is network marketing. Imagine where you would be today if you had taken advantage of a solid network marketing opportunity five years ago.

Thirdly, you must leverage the explosive growth potential of a model such as network marketing by turning the massive traffic it can generate into affiliate sales, or sales of your own instantly deliverable digital products.

Fourth, you must create or obtain a free information product(preferably an Adobe Acrobat PDF) that can easily be downloaded and transmitted, and be certain that the potential recipient has a huge incentive to pass it on. I allow anyone who downloads my free special report to change my two-tier affiliate link to their own, thus giving them a huge incentive to pass it on and earn substantial affiliate commissions.

Ultimately, your success will be determined by your ability to make a visitor's time well-spent when they visit your website or read your newsletter. Never underestimate the awesome power of going the extra mile!

Make Money On Myspace

Writen by Bryce Holt

Meet people from your area in the country and keep in touch. Site includes blog, forums, email, groups, games and events. Network with over 74 million friends.

Did you notice that number? 74 Million!!! 74,000,000 consumers It's been reported that MySpace is the second most visited site on the entire internet, even more than Google. When I signed up a few weeks ago it was at 68 million, by the time you get around to reading this I'm sure approaching a billion. That is why you cannot ignore MySpace as a marketing avenue!

Recently I began experimenting on using MySpace to promote businesses. Response has been very good so far. There is a huge opportunity within this social network behemoth if you know where to look.

Making Money with MySpace

A couple of weeks ago I signed up on MySpace. I had no real interest, figured it was just for kids, but with it being on the news nonstop lately I guessed correctly that I'd better check it out.

MySpace marketing entails a wide range of methods, including:

Advertise to Friends
Advertise to Groups
Advertise in Forums
Advertise through Blogs
Advertise with Bulletins
Newsletter Advertisements
Classified Ads

Alright, an advertisers heaven. So I created a profile and looked around a bit. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had excellent forums. Business & Entrepreneur were the ones that got my attention. After filling out a couple of the basics in the profile, I created a quick and dirty blog about the 5 Step Guide. Finally I posted a couple of messages in the forums, "Hi I'm new, Check out my profile" type stuff, then logged off and didn't give it much thought.

I'd just started a Google Adwords campaign so I thought I'd experiment. I added MySpace keywords to my existing list. After saving the list I clicked refresh after about 15 minutes... Entrepreneur - 4 hits, Affiliate -2, Home Business - 5, MySpace - 285!! In a fifteen minute time frame! Oh people are definitely searching for MySpace information. I removed the keywords as my site had nothing to do with MySpace. Next day I log back into MySpace, and see that I have had a half dozen profile views, and 1 person wants to be my "friend". I post a couple of more messages in the forums, then don't check back for a few days.

Now in that short period of time a couple of things happened. My profile got a modest 18 hits, but my blog had been viewed over 40 times! I quickly checked the stats on my web server, traffic in the last 72 hours had increased over 200%. I was floored. Not only were visitors seeing me on MySpace, but the blog was being distributed outside of the site. So of course I jumped back on MySpace, went looking for new friends, and made a bunch more forum posts & replies. Traffic and hits kept piling up and I knew I was onto something good.

Then I got kicked off of MySpace.

No warnings, no explanation, not even a notice.... my account simply no longer existed. I was able to piece together what happened by going back and reading some of the threads I'd participated in. There were the usual bunch of scum bags there pushing $40,000 in your PayPal, As seen on Oprah, etc. type spew, and it seems the forum moderator lumped me in with the group and banned the lot of us. E-mails explaining my situation and requesting an explanation were ignored, so finally I just created a new profile. So be warned, even when you're following all the rules you need to be very careful where and what you post, but the exposure is tremendous when done right.

These results were fantastic, but could I find more people faster? And could I reach a more targeted audience without spamming millions? Yes I could. To do that I turned to MyFriendBuilder. Skeptical at first because this was the third product I'd tested and the first two were absolute garbage, I contacted the author who assured me MyFriendBuilder worked as promised and had some additional special features including birthday wishes & profile lists.

I created a new account for testing, this account had no profile details, no picture, no geographical significance... absolutely nothing that would appeal or draw in other users. The account had no friends, and no profile views when I fired up MyFriendBuilder. From MyFriendBuilder I logged onto MySpace, browsed for users between 30 - 45 years old, who were married, within 10 miles of a small town zip code, which gave me 810 profile results to target.

Then I used the program to extract all of the user ID's, and to send "friend" requests to. This ran pretty much without intervention aside from a security code you must enter that MySpace intermittently pops up. IN THE FIRST 24 hours my new "zero" account had 463 visits (all of which saw my test logo, which could have been a website link, advertisement, etc.), and actually had over 200 new friends who I can now reach all at once by sending one MySpace bulletin. Pretty amazing marketing tool.

Obviously this is the tip of an iceberg here. If you decide to market on MySpace I highly recommend MyFriendBuilder. Check them out and receive a special price for our readers.

You now know how to get a LOT of traffic to your site this way, but what if you don't even have a site yet? One way to cash in on the MySpace phenomenon is to set up a resource, or "codes & layouts" site. For example http://www.MySpace101.info This complete site comes as a script you can purchase and easily modify to plug in your own ads and links. Every time a MySpacer uses your resources, a link back to you is automatically added to their profile page for all to see. Also visitors see all your ads and links when they come for new codes & graphics.

Planning Your Way To Success

Writen by Charlene Rashkow

Whether you are a small company or a larger corporation one of the primary keys to success lies in preparing and following a good marketing plan. Why? Because you can have the most awesome product or service to offer, but without a plan in place, you may flounder for direction and waste a lot of time and energy as a result.

What a Marketing Plan Should Include

As you prepare your plan it should contain data and specifics pertaining to your company's goals, the product or service you're offering, how you intend to market it and a means for measuring your success. Generally speaking, larger companies create plans that are extremely comprehensive in size and nature while smaller companies will do just as well with a briefer strategy.

Create an Objective

Starting with a clear objective for your marketing plan may mean spending a bit of time in contemplation but it's important to be certain as to the overall purpose and objective of your company. Take some time to focus on what you really want to achieve and you'll get there much faster.

As an example, when I first began my writing/consulting business, I thought long and hard as to what I intended. It was essential that I share my talent in a positive and meaningful way so that not only was I personally rewarded but I also wanted to be sure that what I offered would help other people succeed. I knew that I wanted to create material that would be impressive, effective and dynamic, but I also relished in the idea of empowering other people. So with those thoughts in mind I created an intention that aligned with my purpose. It is as follows: "My intention as a Writer/Consultant is to fully succeed at providing my clients with high quality written material that uniquely reflects their objectives while helping them stand apart from the crowd!"

Be Aware of Your Market

Consider whether there are particular trends in your industry. Pay special attention as to which audience you are trying to reach. Have you researched the need for your product? Are you aware of your competition? Are layoffs affecting your particular arena and if so is it to your benefit or detriment? The economy does not necessarily influence some industries, but because it does have some bearing on many markets, you may want to be aware of those markets.

Your Marketing Strategy

How do you intend to market your product or service? If you are not promoting your business in some way, it's easy to forget your company, so including an effective marketing strategy is essential. Think about some of the largest companies in the world and how they are constantly brainstorming in an effort to keep the public's attention. Notice how we are collectively bombarded with new commercials and announcements daily making sure we never forget certain products or services. Of course most of us cannot compete with huge companies, however there are many ways to promote your business without it costing a lot of money. It simply requires a bit of thought and creativity

Setting Time and Accomplishment Goals

Generally your plan should cover a period of from six months to a year. Ask yourself periodically if you've taken all the steps that you planned. Are you within your schedule? Are you attracting the clientele you had hoped to attract? Are you making good contacts that return or send referrals? Are you building rapport with customers? Does the plan need some rearranging or rethinking? Check the plan you've prepared on a monthly basis as a measure for meeting your goals and objectives. If you find that you're on target keep the plan in place. But if you obviously see that something isn't working, rethink your marketing strategies.

Finally, while you may hope for the day when you can sit back reaping the benefits of your efforts, you can never stop marketing. You must keep an open mind and never get stuck in sameness. If you find one avenue isn't bearing fruit, simply recognize it as an opportunity to explore other possibilities. Or simply get back to basics, which includes writing a new article, sending out a press release, saying hello to old clients via e-mail or simply getting quiet for a few days until you're inspired. As it is your goal to have the world beat a path to your door, keeping a good marketing plan updated and refined is crucial to the success of your business.

Creating Content For Your Online Marketing

Writen by Mark Nenadic

It has been discovered that visitors to websites read the content differently than they would if they were reading the same content in print. When a website visitor is reading a website's content, then instead of reading it word for word, it is more likely that he or she will scan over the page looking for the specific information that he or she wants from the page. Therefore, the style of writing used for print material is not the same as that which should be utilized for a website. The style for the web, especially in the case of marketing, must be much more succinct and effective. Remember that it is the reader, not the writer, of the content who will determine the sequence that will be followed for the content.

To do this, there are a number of things that you need to keep in mind as you write your web content:

1. Instead of thinking like an online marketer, you need to think like the reader. This means that you need to make certain that anyone scanning over your content will find it easy to discover the information they've been seeking.

2. Always keep the reader in mind as you write each part of the copy. Use a style that is much more casual than you would in print, because the reader will need to be able to relate to the wording.

3. Apply more of a journalistic-type writing style. This means that your wording will be simple and direct, and any complex sentence structures should be avoided. Don't use any unnecessary words or "fluff".

4. Never let the end purpose of your content leave your mind as you write. Online marketing is something that must be done with purpose in order to reach a specific target. The design itself, the copy, and the navigational tools should all work together toward your online marketing message.

5. Make your copy personal so that it reads as though you're speaking directly to your prospective client. This can be done by using the second person, that is, writing "you", so that the reader will feel as though he or she can personally relate with what you are trying to say.

6. Always tell your reader the benefits of whatever you're saying. Copy should be written in order to directly inform readers of "what's in it for them". This means not only saying the features of any given product or service, but also why these features are good for the reader's needs and desires.

7. Give order to your content by saying the most important things first so that they are the first points that your readers will spot at the top of the page. Since your readers will be scanning to find information that is worthwhile to them, you need to catch their interest as soon as possible or they will simply go elsewhere.

8. Don't make your content one or two enormous blocks of text. Instead, break up your paragraphs into smaller, more manageable and more inviting paragraphs of no more than two or three sentences. You can also use subheadings and bullets to make scanning easier and more appealing.

9. Be consistent with your writing style throughout your site. Every page from your website should be written with the same feel, the same layout, the same words that are capitalized, and the same number of headings, so that everything remains consistent. This is extremely appealing to web users, since it makes scanning dramatically simpler.

10. Of course, you should never forget the ever-important keywords to be included to maximize SEO – search engine optimization – one of the most effective online marketing efforts you can make. Furthermore, scanning your content becomes much easier when keywords are there to be spotted.

None of these points are very difficult, however, they are somewhat time consuming. Fortunately, they are worth every moment you can put into them. Whether this means hiring a professional, or doing it yourself, these techniques provide you substantial results that you'll be able to see growing over time. Just don't forget to keep up those efforts as you add new pages to your website, or if you change the site's design in the future!

Flat Tires Slow Leaks And Online Marketing

Writen by Richard Kraneis

Does your online marketing campaign have a flat tire? Or is it more like a slow leak?

Today my 16 year old son Fritz called on the cell phone from high school. Mom took the call. "Could Dad fix my flat tire during the day?" Of course I would fix it.

And then it hit me. Knowing you have a flat tire is a lot better than not knowing. Unfortunately, when your online marketing campaign has a flat tire or a slow leak, it may take a while before you realize it or fix it.

My e-book website has had a few flat tires and a few slow leaks. Bad e-book cover, slow website loads, advertising to people who would never buy, and other problems. But I think I've repaired the flats and the slow leaks. I hope.

Here's my first online flat tire. When I first published my e-book on the Internet in November of 2003, my e-book cover was running at a loss. As I remember, I was making a dollar for every 3 dollars I spent on advertising. What was the flat tire? Please take a look at my original e-book cover. It's below. It was horrible.

http://www.theworldsshortestexcelbook.com/HorribleBookCover.jpg

Actually, my website didn't have a flat tire; it was more like a car wreck. But if you looked at my e-book cover on the link shown above, I definitely had an online flat tire. (There's a reason why I earned only passing grades in art classes). I went cheap on the e-book cover and built my own. I took a fishing photo of myself and put it on a book cover. Not only did I have a flat tire, I had slashed all my tires with a knife, to save pennies.

Then I found Vaughan Davidson at http://killercovers.com/covers and he did a professional e-book cover for me. Visit my new e-book cover shown below.

http://www.theworldsshortestexcelbook.com/BookC.gif

I think I changed the e-book cover in mid-December 2003, turned off my Google advertising, and took a holiday break. It was nice being away from email for a change. When I checked my email on January 2, 2004, I had sold 3 e-books.

Using Excel to measure my conversion rates, my conversion rate during late 2003 was about .003. I was selling 3 books for every 1000 visitors. That was selling at a loss. After my new e-book cover from http://killercovers.com/covers and a week of web page changes, my e-book conversion rate rocketed to .009. A 300% increase. A profit.

So keep a good lookout for the flat tires and slow leaks of online marketing. Using Excel to track your online marketing successes (or not so great successes) would be a great idea.

Web Success Secret Overdeliver

Writen by Nissar Jagani

A few days back I got an email telling me to look at a software which was revolutionary. It enabled anybody to earn lawful income on the internet without hype or without making any false promises, etc, etc...

Well, we all receive such emails almost everyday, but rarely look at them. I would have done the same but as it was from a friend I clicked the link.

What I found was quite interesting. It was really a new way to make money - at least it looked that way to me.

Moreover, it was very much affordable and promised many of the things that I wanted. So I went for it. Tell you the truth, I was infuenced more by its low price rather than its promises. My friend's recommendation also played some part in this decision.

But here I was in for a surprise.

It was more than it promised to be. It gave me many resources which I was not expecting. Moreover, the income-earning technique was based on a simple, but novel idea.

Now perhaps you are thinking that I am trying to push that software on you. Click below if you want to see it, but the point I am trying to make is quite different.

This software clicked with me because it overdelivered on its promises. It gave me more than what I expected from its sales letter.

This is the strategy that successful webmasters use. They give a lot to their visitors. Actually lots more than what is expected. So visitors return to their sites again and again. They buy from the site, click its links and join its suggested programs, tell others about it. In a word, those who deliver, succeed.

How to overdeliver
Whatever the subject of your site, overdelivery starts with the consideration of your visitor. Put yourself in his/her shoes. Think that if you were visiting that site, what would you want from it. What questions would you have. What problems you would like to be solved.

Then answer these questions and you will have a solid content for your site. For this you may have to do some research and it will add to the value of your site.

A site with relevant and quality content has two distinct advantages:

No doubt, the human visitors like such a site and come to it again. But search engines also love it. Its ranking goes high as search engines like Google look for content rather than the keyword meta tags.

Let us say you have come to my work at home site. Naturally you expect to find what earning options are available. Which ones will be suitable to your skills and the time available to you. What income you should expect to make. What you will have to do to earn that income. How to find the right programs and what you should do to avoid fraud. Where to get help and where to find more such opportunities.

If you get all these things and something more, I have given you value. You feel satisfied.

But won't you feel cheated if you find that my site has skimpy info and lots of banner and other ads of the work at home programs I am promoting? Will you return to my site, ever?

Internet Marketing Secrets Spiel

Writen by J. Stephen Pope

Wouldn't you like to know all the Internet marketing "secrets" that have made me the man I am today?

I live in a house way too big for my beautiful wife and myself. We eat three square meals a day and can snack anytime we feel like it! We drive our luxurious Cavalier to the beach and swim anytime we want (when I'm not busy making money on the Internet and the beach is not closed because of E. coli levels or ice fishing).

It wasn't always this way. I remember just about fifty-two short years ago when I had no clothes. The doctor had to wrap me up in a blanket. But I applied myself for decades and finally starting making money on the Internet.

Did you hear about the guy that made fifty million dollars in one day on eBay? Peanuts! If you want to make really huge amounts of cash from e-commerce, listen to a guy who's been there.

Why should I tell you (a perfect stranger) all my tricks of the trade? Why don't I just keep the information to myself and make a ton of cash with that knowledge?

These are good questions. This proves that you are thinking and that people on the Internet are not stupid or gullible.

The real reason I am sharing this information is because I like people. In fact, I like you. I consider you one of my closest friends because you are interested in my one passion, Internet marketing. The fact that you have read this far proves your interest. Because you are so smart and motivated, I want to help you.

The fact that I am going to release only 5,000 copies of my Internet marketing "secrets" at $5,000 a pop, for a cool $25,000,000, has absolutely nothing to do with money.

You see, I don't really need the money. We only have three more payments to go on the Cavalier. My fridge is full of Canadian beer. So, money is obviously not my prime motivation.

My charging you $5,000 for my Internet marketing "secrets" is my way of giving back to the community. Really, I'm doing all this to help you because I want to leave behind a legacy. I want people to say (after I'm dead and have no clue about what's going on) what a great philanthropist I was.

By the way, the lawyer at the legal clinic said I should tell you two words: "Earnings Disclaimer".

Even though anyone as smart and motivated and good-looking as you is sure to make billions on the Internet working two or less hours a week, he insisted that I tell you. (Aren't these creative types hilarious?)

He says: "There is no guarantee that you will make any money. Some persons are stupid, lazy and ugly and have zero chance of success."

What a party pooper!

The Resell Rights Gold Mine To Establishing A Home Of Comfort

Writen by Seth Chong

Other than creating your own products in order to join the herds of increasing business online crowd, there are also other easier ways to have an immediate Internet business established.

So what do you need in order to join the Resell Rights business? It is very easy(really mean it..), which is to have a domain name – able to get one easily from Yahoo for $2.99 or namecheap for $8.88, it depends on which you prefer, a hosting, most preferably a paid one – important, and a fully-functional website.

There are tons of hosting out there, and to name a few midPhase(free domain name), lunarpages(free domain name as well), bluehost, or GoDaddy are the better ones.

These are almost the basic requirements of a successful affiliate, but don't be mistaken - Affiliates and resellers are different.

Affiliates don't need to have any other startup costs other than the basic requirements above, but resellers – yes. Resellers will need to purchase the rights to a product owned by the other people, but they can resell the products and keep 100% of the profits instead. For affiliates, they only receive a percentage of commissions from their sales. Usually, purchasing the rights to resell a certain product can cost 3, 5 or even 10 times more than its normal price.

The few stages of Resell Rights:

•Basic Resell Rights You can sell the product, but not your customers.

•Master Resell Rights When you have a master resell rights product for sale, you can resell it to your customers, and so can they with the same product. This means that when you purchase a Master Resell Right, your customers get to sell the same item as well.

•Private Label Rights These are really popular. Why is it so? – If you purchase a private label right of a product, you get to change the contents of the product any ways you want, produce it under your name, anything! Basically, you can treat it as though it's your production.

Prices for a private label right is much higher than any other rights. Of course, everyone knows it(it's common sense!).

•Give Away Rights As clear as it sounds, you may give away the product to anyone you want! Instead, you can't sell or edit the product in any ways.

Usually give away rights works well with viral marketing – people give their work out for publicity.

•Rebranding Rights This product works almost the same as a product with give away rights, but you are able to edit part of the contents to benefit yourself on publicity as well. Most probably, you can only edit the sponsored names, website URL and affiliate links.

How can you profit from a resell rights business at its peak?

You definitely need your opt-in lists. In fact, the most important thing for an Internet Marketer is his or her lists of subscribers. Some Internet Marketers who own 100,000 to 200,000 subscribers(also called leads) doesn't even need to actually work anymore.

What they do everyday is just providing their subscribers or leads with some useful information, real life news, stories, and build a closer relationship with them.

When they found a good product or item, easily they can send an email out and endorse it, earning commissions through the affiliate links. Well as for a reseller, you do the same, but a little bit different. When there are products that you think is interesting and is worth to be "told" to your subscribers, you purchase the resell rights to it and usually, sell them to your subscribers at a better offer.

Most Internet Marketers will usually purchase much more resell rights to the other products then combine them together, selling all of them at a cheaper price in a bundle. Sometimes the price can even be more expensive for up to ten times if you purchase them separately, that is why tons of people would rather purchase the products from resellers in a bulk.

Nevertheless, it is not always a must to sell all of them together. Many resell rights have the same looks and same sales page and you can change that. By writing your own or hiring a copywriter to craft a much more compelling sales copy for the resell product, you can increase the response a lot more.

As for digital products like e-books or software, you can design a whole new e-book cover or software box instead of using the given one that comes with the resell rights. As the saying goes "in the valley of the blind the one with an eye is the king."

Now being a reseller is really sometimes easier than anything. When new resell rights which seems attractive are being sold, people will just need to purchase the rights to them, compile them, and next ready to be sold in a single sales copy. Search for joint venture partners, offer them a higher percentage in commissions, request them to endorse your offer and that's it.

Being any Internet Marketer, it is always better to take hold of every opportunity you can earn money with. When you successfully sell a product to a customer, try and sell him or her another product right on your Thank You page. Basically the idea is "since you're my customer and you purchased a product from me, here's a great offer specially for you at an incredible special price." It's a very good way of having a back-end sale.

That's not all, to urge customers into pulling out their credit cards for the Thank You page item, most Internet Marketers will also make it a one-time offer – this will be shown only one time, you won't see it again. If the customers are interested they'll get it, if not, there's no harm at all.

There are many ideas of earning money as a reseller and you can always apply it for your own. The Internet business market is so huge that you can choose from these varieties of business styles that suits yourself.

From starting your own Internet business selling your own product, earning commissions from affiliate programs and being a reseller – make the best decision for yourself and get started!

Information Products A Beginners Guide

Writen by Stacey Morris

ONLINE MARKETING PRODUCTS: What should you develop?

The internet provides an ideal opportunity to provide our clients and customers with high-value products, at low cost to us. Most products can be delivered over the internet, including ebooks, audio files, and home study courses. The production and delivery cost for these items is low, which allows us to focus on developing superior content, without regard to how much to spend on packaging.

The question you may ask yourself is, "What products should I develop?" But that's the wrong question.>/b> Your goal is to serve, not sell. If your product and information is of sufficiently high quality, and truly serves your target market, the selling will be easier. Why? You can be extraordinarily passionate about a topic, but if there's no market for it, you're working in a vacuum.

Why not find out what your market really wants, and then supply it to them?

A hot market is golden. Building a product blindly, with little idea of how it will be received, is unnecessary and silly. But building to your customer's needs and wants makes sense.

So how do you find out what your target market really wants? Below are two methods to find out what is really selling out there.

Rather than assume you know what's best for your target market, be willing to research what they're currently buying. The market is the best indicator of what people want.

MAGAZINES

Paper magazines are much more expensive to produce than ezines, and they require a steady readership and usually some advertising. You're looking for special interest magazines that cater to a very specific crowd. You'll have trouble finding these at your local newsstand, so search on the internet for "your target" + "magazines." Enter different variations, and you'll find a number of possibilities.

For example, I just found 3 Yo-Yo magazines through an internet search. Not my target market, but clearly there is a market.

The next step is to order copies of a few issues. You're looking for ads and coupons for products. When you find a specialty magazine that's been around for a while, and that displays similar ads consistently, you've narrowed down what your market is buying.

CLICKBANK

A second strategy for finding what's popular is to search on the internet. Specifically, if you're interested in developing information products, like ebooks or audios, a great place to look is ClickBank, which sells more ebooks than any other outlet. They identify the hottest categories of ebook sold currently from their site, further identified by title.

A category that sells well on ClickBank should be able to sell well in other markets, and specific key words in the title of popular ebooks should give you an indication of what people are looking for now.

CONCLUSION

Tailor your products to what your target market wants. People buy from those they know, like, and trust, and if you can accurately assess specifically what people want, you'll establish that trust quickly. Don't assume you know what's best—do your research.

Seven Benefits Of Niche Article Directories

Writen by Hari Wibowo

In marketing, friends will never be enough. There will be plenty of people willing to offer you help and guide you to increase your site's link popularity. One of these folks are article directories website. In particular, niche article directories will give you plenty of advantages. What is a niche article directory? This is a web directory that allows you to publish your content of similar field at their site. In exchange, it will let you promote your website at the end of the article. Niche article directory benefits from you getting your content while you get the chance to promote your website.

In particular, niche article directories can give you several benefits:

Link Popularity. Niche article directories will help you gain link popularity. At the end of each article, writers are allowed to place a link to their website on the resource box. The more you write, the more backward links pointing to your site. This eventually increases your link popularity.

Exposures. Niche article directories will give you plenty of exposure. Website owners who would want additional content, will visit these niche article directories to get their content. This constant flow of visitors will give your content extra exposure that you won't get from your website. Furthermore, if they decide to publish your articles at their sites, they are not allowed to change the content of the article. Therefore, the link that you placed will remain and you have one more webmaster linking to your website.

Higher Sales Conversion. If readers like your writing, it is easier to convince them to buy a product or service from your site. By sharing your knowledge, they are grateful that they have come across to this piece of wonderful article. You are deemed to be the expert on your field who like to help your audience, instead of pushy marketers trying to offer your inferior products.

More Interested Visitors. Niche directories are offering content of similar fields. This will attract like-minded visitors. For example if a niche article directory is offering content in the field of finance, web surfers seeking to lose weight will not be looking around at this niche directory. This results in a more interested visitors viewing your finance article. These visitors are looking for something and that is why they arrive at this niche directory. A lot of business value this kind of visitors more than general web surfers.

Less Competition. Niche article directory has a lot less categories than a general article directory. This attracts visitors as they do not have to find hard for something they are looking for. For publishers, this will enable your article to stand out. You have less competition to attract the visitors' attention. More and more visitors will be able to locate your article in a niche article directory. This is precious. After all, the reasons you publish your content is to let others read your masterpiece.

Faster Approval. Niche article directories will have to approve limited number of articles since they specialize in one field. This enables them to publish your article faster and with less errors. On the other hand, big general article directories will have to approve hundreds if not thousands of articles daily.

Free Advertising. On top of it all, submitting your content to niche article directories is free. You can promote your site, derive extra visitors to your site, regarded as experts in your field and increase your link popularity all for the cost of ... zero. How sweet is that?

Distribute your finance/investing content for free at our article submission service. Meanwhile you can list your site for free at our web directory service

Review Of Programs That Submit Your Article

Writen by Darren K

In the past 6 months several articles have been written to offer tools, helps & any advice on the power of writing articles and submitting these to many online ezines. In fact the word ezines is just becoming a known keyword in the web world.

If you have a site and want to generate a buzz ad get traffic you need to submit your article to ezines. In this article I will not go into the best methods of writing these articles and as most of you know by now it is not that easy to write an article and have it approved by these ezine companies. What we do want to accomplish here is the best way to go about submitting your articles.

There are a handful of very well developed ezine sites that if you do write articles you want to submit to. The problem that is most often heard is the time it takes to submit the article to all of these sites. Recently there has been a rush on developers to create programs that will do this for you automatically. There is a positive and a negative to this process.

Lets talk about the Negative first. Here are a list of reasons why you shouldn't use these programs: 1. These programs are still newly developed and the software developers of these programs may not have tested these fully before handing these out to everyone. 2. There are reports of some programs that do not work at all and cause serious damage to PCs. One such company is called Submita www.submitaarticle.com (see below for quote from Submita) 3. Many of the ezines have a bio attached and the way the bio works is different for each site and if you are promoting more then 1 site then you need multiple bios and will need multiple submit programs these typically only handle 1 account which means you need more then 1 computer. 4. Duplicate content is another big issue. If you put submit article in several locations this can count against you.

Quote: In a recent attempt to explain the PC corruption caused by Submita (an article submission software) their response was: "Please note that we have stated clearly on our webpage that we provide you a fully functional free trial with no restrictions so that you can try the software before you buy it. It also states that we have a no refund policy."

In reply to this: "Please note that your free trial had no functionality it was a program that had no use until you entered in a serial number which must be provided by you and was not. I had to purchase the license so I could at least try out the program to see if it worked or not"

Notice that there was no apology for the corruption the program caused and no attempt to fix the solution. Only response was "Too Bad"

Lets take a look at the positive in using these types of programs: 1. This will save you hours of sitting in front of computer logging in and out each time for each ezine site 2. Though there are some programs that do not even work there are programs that do work. One of them is Instant Article Submitter made by Rod Beckwith and Jeff Alderson and this program has nothing but great reviews and the reputation of Rob & Jeff are nothing but the best. There are other programs and other sites that do work as well if you want more information contact us directly. 3. If submitting multiple articles is an issue then do the submission and take the time to login to each account and assign the bio to it… that is still easier then doing the whole part and hopefully these programs will note this and allow users to have multiple accounts to manage on 1 program. 4. Though the article you are submitting is duplicate it still counts as back links for your site and the better you get your site ranked with back links the better you will in the search engines.

Keep in mind that every time you submit an article you are generating hype about the service or product and creating a reputation on the web as a trusted source.

One last tip is if you have a new product make sure to create a buzz about that product and name and watch as you create a new keyword on the search engines.

Pixel Advertising A New Internet Media For Advertising

Writen by Guna Deivendran

Many of you may never have heard the term "pixel advertising" before Alex Tew, a young entrepreneur from UK came up with this idea to pay for his university fees. He came up with the idea to create a milliondollarhomepage.com and the idea paid off for Alex.

What is Pixel Advertising?

Simply put, it is a way to get your company's logo or an image on another website. This logo will remain on that website for a minimum of 5 years. Graphic banner advertising is nothing new to the internet but this pixel advertising is slightly new. On a traditional banner with a dimension of 468 pixels by 60 pixels, you will have about 276 blocks. Each block is made of 100 pixels. Through pixel advertising, in that space you can advertise for 276 websites given that each website only purchased 1 block from you.

Is pixel advertising going to work?

Yes and No! MillionDollarHomepage is doing well because it is the first to come up with an idea that is unique to the internet. Media picked up on it and many stories have been written about the page, sending massive amount of traffic to that particular site. So that site was successful. However, once it leaves the spotlight from the media, there are no reasons for visitors to go back to that site. So it is very early for someone to predict if the investment made by advertisers to purchase space on such site is worth it.

However, there are many perks to purchase a piece of someone other website to place your logo on it. Looking at it from a search engine optimization strategy, once you have many links coming to your site from other sites, search engines rank you high. They value your site as a high demand site. So buying few blocks on sites that may be active for another five years would be a great idea to boost traffic to your site through search engines. You may want to consider doing some research before purchasing pixels on any pixel advertising sites.

Here are few tips for purchasing pixel advertising:

  • Look for the terms and conditions to make sure they will be up and running for at least another five years.
  • Many of these sites are new so there won't be much history on them. However, you may consider doing some Google search or Alexa search to see if others are talking about them.
  • See if these sites provide additional services so they will last longer than 5 years and it will also drive traffic to their sites. It turn that will drive traffic to your site. Example of this is http://www.itsteens.com. They've twisted the idea to create a pixel block on their existing website.
  • Go to a pixel search engine like http://www.dotsmedia.com to search for other pixel sites. Find a good bargain and get a link to your site.
  • Buy few blocks to start off with and see if that helps your site.

With the year of 2005 turning into 2006, many are putting their thoughts into internet marketing and how one can bring customers to their site. This is just one of many ideas to come and we all shall wait and see how far they each go.

How To Get Rich Online With Internet Marketing

Writen by Saleem Rana

Here is why most people fail in an online business:

They see the possibilities immediately: You can market a digital or dropship product to the entire world, the process is almost completely automated, and you can get rich very quickly.

They then reach out and study internet marketing and try and focus on expressing their niche interest.

They reach out and start buying marketing materials and going to seminars and hanging out in forums.

Often the get into debt in the process and sometimes their relationships fall apart as their significant other consider them short off dementia, but they are goaded on by this vision that they see as possible. A lot of stress happens when you suddenly become single-minded. Intense focus is both the secret of greatness and the root cause of burnout.

Finally, they get overwhelmed by the amount of information that is out there on this subject, spin their wheels, suffer from information indigestion, experience failure, and then quit.

Yet, remarkably, some people do amazingly well. They go through the same cycles but they come out winners. At this point, they start making in a day what took them a year in their previous dead-end jobs to make.

While this is a complex topic, there are two critical elements that a netpreneur has to sort through. How he or she sorts through them determines whether they stay in the game and win big or drop out and fail, going back to the dismal jobs and unfulfilling lives that they hoped to escape.

The first element to failing online is poor study skills.

It's easy enough to whip out a credit card and download an e-book or a software program that promises the end to the search. Suddenly, they see an end to poverty and the beginning of riches. Suddenly, they envision the death of pain and the birth of pleasure.

Unfortunately, they then have to actually read, study, and apply the information.

Most people don't get this far. It's easier to just get the next information package.

Often enough, they consider the information to be at fault; even if the person selling the information happens to have a fabulous track record, with lots of social and statistical proof.

They conclude that either (a) they got scammed or (b) some vital information was withheld from them. They become guru-haters.

The real culprit, however, is their own impatience, poor study skills, getting discouraged when there isn't instant comprehension, and failing to test the strategies out.

The short attention cultivated by surfing may help them process large amounts of information quickly, but there is also a time when they need to spend a large amount of time processing information slowly to comprehend and use it.

An e-book is just an e-book and a software program is just a software program—-until the information is read, studied, comprehended, and applied.

The second element to failing online is not understanding the learning loop.

Failure is a bitter experience. Most of us shy away from it. Yet in our reluctance to go through it, we fail to get to the other side, which is success.

You have to fail first before you can succeed.

Failure is the process of trying something out, learning about it, improving your performance, eliminating what does not work, and finally arriving at a formula for success.

Once you have this formula, then you can replicate that success over and over again.

What's more, when you refine that success, it gets even bigger.

Mastery consists of three phases: learning, applying, and responding to feedback.

It's a cybernetic loop.

If you focus on the feedback as feedback, you will go through cycles of failing that will then lead you to cycles of succeeding.

Unfortunately, most people don't let the loop run itself out. They respond to negative feedback as failure and stop dead in their tracks, discouraged, disillusioned, and upset. They only want positive feedback.

Yet the feedback loop is always both positive and negative. Some things that you try out work and others that you try out don't work. You will never know what works and what does not work until you try different things out.

Marketing On The Internet Legal Rules Of The Road

Writen by Richard Chapo

The Internet is connecting advertisers and marketers to customers from Boston to Bali. If you're thinking about advertising on the Internet, remember that many of the same rules that apply to other forms of advertising apply to electronic marketing.

The Federal Trade Commission Act allows the FTC to act in the interest of all consumers to prevent deceptive and unfair acts or practices. The FTC has determined that a representation, omission or practice is deceptive if it is likely to:

1. Mislead consumers and

2. Affect consumers' behavior or decisions about the product or service.

In addition, an act or practice is unfair if the injury it causes is:

1. Substantial

2. Not outweighed by other benefits and

3. Not reasonably avoidable.

The FTC prohibits unfair or deceptive advertising in any medium. That is, advertising must tell the truth and not mislead consumers. A claim can be misleading if relevant information is left out or if the claim implies something that's not true. For example, a lease advertisement for an automobile that promotes "$0 Down" may be misleading if significant and undisclosed charges are due at lease signing.

In addition, claims must be substantiated, especially when they concern health, safety, or performance. The type of evidence may depend on the product, the claims, and what experts believe necessary. If your ad specifies a certain level of support for a claim - "tests show X" - you must have at least that level of support.

Other points to consider:

Disclaimers and disclosures must be clear and conspicuous. That is, consumers must be able to notice, read or hear, and understand the information. Still, a disclaimer or disclosure alone usually is not enough to remedy a false or deceptive claim.

Testimonials and endorsements must reflect the typical experiences of consumers, unless the ad clearly and conspicuously states otherwise. A statement that not all consumers will get the same results is not enough to qualify a claim. Testimonials and endorsements can't be used to make a claim that the advertiser itself cannot substantiate.

If your ad uses phrases like "satisfaction guaranteed" or "money-back guarantee," you must be willing to give full refunds for any reason. You also must tell the consumer the terms of the offer.

Non-Compliance

If you fail to follow these rules, you run the risk of being prosecuted by the FTC. Successful prosecutions typically result in injunctions against your site and damages awarded in the amount of $11,000 PER VIOLATION.

Want To Make Money Online You Need To Sell What People Are Buying

Writen by Opal Gilbert

For several years now, enterprising individuals like you have been trying to make money on the Internet. It's flexible, low-cost, and if you do it right, can be extremely profitable. If you're among those who have tried to succeed and have not yet found that magic formula, you may just need to re-evaluate what you're trying to sell.

It's no secret the economy has been lagging for months, even though some economists are now calling for an unprecedented recovery, and that's great. We can all benefit from a thriving healthy economy. However, many companies have been forced to take a step back to decide whether anyone really wants their product or services. After all, if you're selling things that nobody wants to buy, where are your profits going to come from? Before you start any business (or re-evaluate a current one) you need to make sure there is a demand for your product.

Year round (and especially during the holidays), there is a constant demand for gifts on the Net. Millions upon millions of people go online every week looking for that perfect gift, and helping them find it is a sure-fire way to make a profit. Giftware is definitely one market that has potential appeal for EVERYONE. If you can grab even a tiny percentage of those purchases, you'll be sitting pretty.

If you want to get your share of the market, you need to stand out among the crowd. You need to offer unique and quality items that people will notice and want to buy. Plus, it would be extremely helpful to carry exclusive items that can't be easily found elsewhere. That way, anyone who wants that item will have to buy it from you.

Now, just because you have some exclusive items it doesn't mean you can gorge people on prices. Keeping your prices low is your number one way to attract customers, and it's no real sacrifice on your part. The profit margin on gifts and collectibles like figurines, ornaments, jewelry and home accents is huge, so you'll definitely be better off to keep your prices low and attract more customers.

There are some very good business opportunities out there for smart people looking to sell giftware online or offline. For example, you can buy your inventory from www.globalspecialtygifts.net at wholesale prices, then markup your prices a bit to make a profit.

If you want to take advantage of this tremendous market get started now and then you'll be ready for the holidays and any special events. However, offering a varied inventory of high-quality giftware and collectibles, fine jewelry, and exclusive giftware will all but guarantee your success at any time of the year. After all, birthdays happen every day, as well as anniversaries and other special days. No matter the time of year, the demand for quality gifts is always there. When you're trying to make a profit, isn't that the bottom line?

Author Opal R. Gilbert is president of O.R. Gilbert Enterprises and operates Global Specialty Gifts. For more information or to shop for these unique and exclusive products visit http://www.globalspecialtygifts.net.

Article Sites

Writen by Mark Lawson

If you are a writer or own your own business, you may be familiar with article sites. Articles sites give writers the opportunity to offer their material to a submission website for free. In turn, the article will receive a lot of promotion from visitors to the site on a daily basis. The author or person who submits the content allows visitors to publish the article on their website free of charge. However, there is one catch. Any one who copies information that you have written must give you credit for the work and include a link to your website if applicable.

Some writers may feel a little hesitant about giving their work away for free but actually this is one of the best ways to promote both your talent and your business to the world. If you spend a couple of hours crafting your content for an article submission site, you will lose a little bit of money that could have been earned from the sale of the article. Fortunately though, your submitted work piece will earn you much more than you ever could have made from a single sale.

At a popular article promotion website such as Article Alley, there are thousands of visitors to the website every day. This means unlimited exposure for your work. If someone has an interest in the topic you have written about, they simply click on the link to read the full text of the article. At the end of the article you include your name, contact information, and website address. If a person really enjoyed your writing or is interested in the information you provided, they will be very tempted to click on the link in your resource box for more details. You now have the chance to attract an endless amount of customers to your website without the use of traditional advertising methods.

There is an added benefit for writers who include a website address in their biography or resource box. Every time a visitor clicks on the link to your website, it increases the amount of incoming traffic. Most of the major search engines rate websites by not only the content they provide but also the number of incoming links going to the site. Many article promotion sites, including Article Alley, receive a high volume of traffic, typically thousands of customers per day. If just fifty people click on your website link, you have greatly increased your traffic through the use of a single article.

Another factor to consider is the number of times your article will be reproduced on the web. For example, let's imagine that ten customers really enjoyed your article and have posted the content on their own website. Now every time someone visits one of these websites, they have the opportunity to read the content you have written. Better yet, the article will at least include your name and possibly your website address if you included it in the original article posting. By submitting one article for free, you now have your name listed at ten different websites and possibly an additional ten incoming links to your website. This kind of advertising is especially good exposure for a writer. Often times when a client is considering hiring you, they may be interested in what previous online content you have published. By typing your name in a search engine box, they will instantly see the results of all the websites your work is posted at. This can be a great way to gain a clients trust.

Finally, one of the best reasons for offering content to an article submission site is the amount of time it saves you. Think about all the time and energy that is needed to promote your product or service. Some article submission sites, such as Finance Alley and Article Alley, do virtually all of the work in promoting your material. Your article will be advertised not only at these sites upon submission but also through RSS feeds to many other websites. With all the extra time and money you have saved in adverting costs, you can now afford to spend more time actually running your business. Article submission sites actually bring the customers to you.

The Easy Way To Find Potential Niches

Writen by Andrew Williams

Finding a profitable niche to build a site about is a two-step process.

1. Find several potential niches.
2. Check to see which one is most profitable.

This article looks at the first part - coming up with ideas.

This is often the biggest stumbling block for those starting out in this affiliate marketing business. Where do you get ideas from? I do get a lot of people asking me for ideas, but it really is not that difficult.

There are lots of places you can get ideas. Here are a few that I use:

a) Go and surf around Amazon.com. Amazon is a huge online retailer that stocks not only books, but also a huge range of other products, separated into a large number of niches. Make a few notes of potential areas you might consider.

Simply look down the categories and sub-categories to come up with ideas for a site. Stick with what you know, and enjoy.

b) Visit online portals and directories. I recommend that when you find some good ones with lots of categories, you bookmark them.

For example, visit http://dmoz.org/. Drill down some categories to find potential niche markets.

Here is a directory I found by accident

http://www.oramd.com/resources/index.htm

This site has a huge category list of health niches which you can use for ideas.

c) Another idea is to go to eBay and drill down through the categories on the left hand side.

e.g. Go there now, and click on the Health & Beauty category. Do you see how many sub-niches are available for you to choose from?

d) Use Wordtracker to find what people are looking for (you can use the trial version if you don't have a membership).

Try entering words like this into Wordtracker and seeing what phrases you get back:

buy
purchase
online
prevent
fix
info
learn
remedy

There is a huge amount of potential niches that can be found this way, and the best of all, they are being actively searched for at the search engines, so you know there is a demand.

If you have a subscription to Wordtracker, you can also browse down the top 1000 reports. The long term report gives you 1000 phrases that have consistently been search for in the last 120 days.

As you can see, there is a wealth of tools and places you can go to get ideas for your site.

Write down a few ideas that interest you before moving on to the next section.

Internet Marketing What Comes First

Writen by Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D.

Someone asked me recently, if I were to expand an existing professional services business onto the internet, what marketing steps would I take first: set up a web site, a shopping cart, a newsletter, or a blog?

This is a very good question. Five years ago most Internet marketing specialists would have all responded in chorus, "A website, of course!" Then they would recommend their services to create an elaborate website with lots of bells and whistles.

I had an interesting email this week from a reader who asked me about website design fees. This is not my area of expertise. But this reader is a very smart guy. Why? Because he knows from my ezines, blogs and web site that I've been online for a few years and making a decent living from it.

He's a rabbi who has many years experience counseling people. He now has made a wise decision to start offering coaching services to people, and wants to leverage the internet to find clients, sell ebooks and other programs.

The First Step – Ask Questions

He has many questions about what to do first, where to invest his marketing dollars, and how to get set up so everything works seamlessly and automatically.

While I don't profess to have all the answers to his particular questions, I want to emphasize what's important here. He is asking questions!

Many people just go with their gut or common sense. It goes something like this:

"I need a way to find people online. Ergo, I need a web site. Who can do a web site for me, that doesn't cost too much? Oh, you can? Only $1000. Okay, that seems reasonable. Do it."

It's only later on down the road when they want to start an ezine, or a blog, or sell an ebook that they realize they need more than just a web site. That's when the web designer kicks in with hourly fees.

I've never heard a programmer say they can't do something. They always say they can easily set up autoresponders, gather email addresses, send out a newsletter, create a blog on your site, and even create a secure payment system for sales. I'm sorry, but here's the real news: programmers and web site designers can do all these tasks with your web site, but they will charge you for it, and it still won't do everything automatically. And you will be tied to their hourly fees (and schedule) forever.

Back to the question asked of me at the beginning of this article.

While my partner and I recommend an all-in-one solution and setting up all the elements together if your budget permits, there are a couple of ways to get started.

Unless you have a database of prospects, you will not sell your services or products. Therefore, we recommend getting started the right way by building your database — by offering an ezine or free content to attract people to your business. And, you need a place on the Internet where people can find you and subscribe to your content.

The first two pieces then, especially if you're just starting out and have a limited budget, are a blog and a shopping cart program with an autoresponder system.

Third Party Shopping Cart Systems

A third party shopping cart system is where you get an account hosted online by a company that specializes in providing automated database management, autoresponders, email broadcasting, online merchant credit card and payments, ad tracking, and affiliate programs.

When you start out, all you need to do is deliver your ezine and automated emails through autoresponders. You can get a basic level shopping cart account. As your business grows and you develop products, you can upgrade to get more features on your shopping cart, such as affiliate program management and digital delivery.

There are many online email broadcasting services to manage your newsletter. But be aware that an all-in-one solution such as a shopping cart program will save you time and money in the long run.

We strongly recommend starting off with a shopping cart program that can manage your database and newsletters under one roof. It is better to have all your automated marketing functions with one service provider, than to separate your database and newsletter out to another external email service provider.

For detailed information and questions to ask about how to pick a shopping cart system, there are a series of articles you can review at our website.
What's next?

You have your shopping cart system, now what? We'll explore the issue of websites vs. blogs in our next article.

Internet Goldrush

Writen by Mike Pachuta

We were taught in school about the gold rushes. There were a few of them. There was the California gold rush, Klondike gold rush, and Australian rush. Now there were more but just to name a few. People sold and gave up everything to go and hunt for gold. They had no idea how to do it. They figured they learn when they got there. As we all know most lost everything and their lives went to pot. There were many that succeed too.

Well we have another gold rush happening now. But the gold nuggets are the internet. There have been many many people who have made fortunes on the internet whether it be from starting a dot com or selling products, information and ideas

There are so many people rushing to the internet to make their fortunes too. Now maybe their not throwing everything away and traveling thousands of miles to god only knows where. But I have seen and heard of people quitting their jobs to work on the internet full time. Now again many have succeeded but most don't. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Knowledge is key.

The internet can change your life. It can teach you almost anything. Every day people are logging in or onto the internet. They are looking for information, looking to buy something. Many actually go online to play games, whether it be Role playing games, or the latest thing. TEXAS HOLD'EM. What I am trying to say here is that I don't think we really realize yet how big the internet is going to be! You need to sit up and take notice.

You need to take stock of what you know. Would other people be interested in that info? Do I have info that others would be interested in? You don't always have to use other peoples information or products. Everyday people goo to the internet looking for how to do this and how to do that.

Learn to put your information out there. Learn to pan for your gold. Everyone can find their own gold they just need to pan for it. Learning is the key. It just takes less dangerous methods these days to pan for your gold.

What Is The True Nature Of Internet Marketing

Writen by Jim Sullivan

12 months ago I took my confidence coaching business – Confidence Club – online, to help a broader distribution of people and to spread the message that ordinary people can achieve enhanced self confidence – and deserve to do so.

So this has been a learning experience for me – an opportunity to find out just how effective Web marketing is, what works and what does not work. I've been a little shocked to see so many hucksters operating in this space, and saddened to realise that some of them may be successful.

What follow are some of my observations. Feel free to disagree, or to challenge these. As time passes, they will inevitably lose currency anyway – that's just the nature of the beast.

1. The Web is incredibly dispersed. Marketeers like to talk about "the long tail", by which they mean all the products which sell in modest numbers on the Web but would never be stocked by conventional shops because they just aren't bestsellers. A handful of magnet sites like Amazon, Google or Ebay can attract hundreds of millions of visitors, but there are literally billions of sites out there – more Web pages than people on the planet – and the vast majority of these attract few if any real visitors. The real long tail is this mass of largely unseen websites.

2. Good ideas decay rapidly. For example, there probably was a time when affiliate marketing made sense, and generated good returns. I'm sure some affiliate marketers are making great money even now. But the dispersed nature of the Web makes it very hard to grab a significant proportion of the available viewers. The idea has gone mainstream and lost some of its power. This seems to be a characteristic of Web marketing. (Incidentally, a useful clue to identify any unsuccessful business model on the Web is the volume of spammy sites claiming to sell the secrets of success in that field. It seems that when enough people have failed in a particular business model they become prey for the 'gurus' who are willing to sell the secrets of their vast wealth for $12)

3. The powerful handful of magnet sites distort the market, and then have to change their model to accommodate the response from hopeful marketers. Google Adsense is an example of this. Adsense ads pay webmasters a proportion of their advertising revenue, on a pay per click basis. So sites have sprung up with hundreds or thousands of pages of 'content' – any old rubbish will do – to try and optimise for Adsense. Of course, some of the content is high quality, but we have seen a glut of megasites recently, fostered in part by changes to Google's search algorithms which apparently favour sites with 100+ pages (at least for now).

4. Barriers to entry are increasing. There was a time when the Web seemed empty, and every new site had a chance. You could throw together a lovely 5 page site, optimise for search engines, and perhaps you'd have a hit. As the money being poured into the Web from real people increases, so Web service providers are becoming more professional. This growing wave of professionalism, coupled with established, large sites which dominate the userbase, means that lone operators (Mom and Pop sites) are increasingly unlikely to be found by most visitors. This is a great shame – one of the lovely aspects of the Web has always been the way that it favours intellectual capital over money. Good ideas count for something on the Web; as barriers to entry increase, this statement will begin to sound hollow.

5. You won't become a rock star, Minnie Driver isn't calling round for tea and you won't be number 1 on Google. Well, you might, if your chosen search term is your company name, or a meaningless phrase. To gather meaningful traffic from Google and other search engines means spending money on pay per click or other forms of advertising, which in turn makes the Web look more conventional by the day. It also enables the big players to consolidate their positions.

What does all this mean? Of course, fortune will always favour the brave – the early adopter, the inventor, the developer of a new twist or angle. I'm one of 6 children, and the phrase "first up, best dressed" means a lot to me. It's a principle which still applies in the Web world. The source of this article – EzineArticles.com – is a great example. By no means the only such service available, this one is professional, efficient and understands the needs of contributors. All good stuff.

However, I suspect that the key factor is simply speed to market – they have achieved critical mass early, and have therefore become the biggest kid on their particular block. Good luck to them. (What this service also does is it closes the loop; webmasters want a link to their sites without paying for it (except through some effort), ezine webmasters want free content (so they can have thousands of pages carrying advertising) and EzineArticles.com gets thousands of links, hundreds of thousands of pages of content and that coveted number 1 position. Everybody involved feels like a winner).

What does 2006 hold? I sense that mediated collaboration will become highly significant in the next few years. Small sites already collaborate in a modest way, through link exchanges, but these also suffer from the dispersed nature of the Web – a link to/from a site with hundreds of daily visitors will do very little, on its own. Grow that community of links and the pool of possible visitors grows – but so does the pool of possible destinations for them.

So small sites need to collaborate more intelligently to gather some of the advantages of megasites. In particular, sites which pay good money to attract visitors don't want to lose those visitors blindly to every other Web site out there. The "least bad" scenario may be that a visitor clicks off your site onto a partner site, and stays within a network or family of non-competitive but complementary sites for a reasonable period of time. This makes particular sense if all of the sites in the network are paying to attract visitors – through Google Adwords, for example. There are many possible variations on this theme, and my prediction for 2006 is that "mediated collaboration" services – to make this possible and efficient for small website owners – will spring up to enable the small guys to band together and be seen. I certainly hope that somebody will develop a mechanism which favours high quality sites over the mass of voluminous garbage we've seen spring up in the past year.

It All Starts With Passion

Writen by Gene Luamanu

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd know that the industry of Internet Marketing is huge. Internet Marketing has made it possible for small businesses to take their product or service to the world! So how does one start?

The information overload presented to a Budding-Entrepreneur can sometimes be overwhelming. It's easy to jump online and think, "Yeah, I can do this", but once the layers start peeling away - what once seemed easy, now is looking harder and harder - and ulimately out of reach. HTML, Java PHP, CGI, SEO, SQL, SSI!!!! All of these letters look like they're supposed to mean something, but.... ummmm.... well, let's just stick to the day job and leave all this computer stuff to the computer geeks. No! No! No! Fact is, if it's not going to be you leveraging the internet, it's going to be someone else. The best thing to do would be to start from the very beginning. A very good place to start... and no, I'm not going to break out into the Sound of Music...

Many internet professionals would agree with me when I say...

The key to succeeding online is finding a group of people who share a need, and coming up with an idea for a product or service that will satisfy that need.

How do you do this?

1. Identify your skills and interests So you're saying, what do my skills and interests have to do with the key to success? Umm, everything. Since the group of people you are finding are going to be your future customers, you should probbly look for people you have something in common with! You'll be much more passionate about your business if you sell something that really captures your interest to people who share that same interest.

That's exactly why all Budding-Entrepreneurs base their business on their own personal skills and interests. before you even begin brainstorming possible markets to target, you need to seriously consider the following..

a) What are your interests?

b) What are you passionate about?

c) What subject or topic do you have a lot of knowledge about?

d) What are people always coming to you for advice about?

Just about every single skill you've picked up in your life, whether it be from work, at home, something you've always wanted to learn about, sports you play etc., can be a foundation for a business.

You'll be able to speak knowledgably in the area's you are most familiar with, so that once your product is out there, you will have be able to prove that you are the one to come to when you are solving your customers problems.

2. Make a List & Narrow In
Don't be like some and say, "But I just don't have any special skills or knowledge".

That really is crazy talk, and you'd be selling yourself well short.

Everyone, no matter who they are or what they do, have special skills of some sort. The thing to do is make a list. Write down everything you have the least bit of interest in, and everything you know that you are skilled in. Just take a minute, stop and think about everything you've done in your life. Consider again, interests, hobbies even area's of expertise.

Once you've got your list, narrow your list to topics you're passionate about.

Look at your list, and choose five areas or skills that you'd like to explore further. These areas should be ones that grab the most response from you.

Focus on topics that you're truly passionate about. Reason being is that your own interest will sustain you during the early periods of building your business. You will have no problem talking or writing about a topic your passionate about, and more importantly, your customers will be able to see your passion coming through your business. Sounds funny, but it's true.

So before you start, think about your own interests first, what you have skills in and what you love to talk about. Match this with finding a group of people who share a need that you will be able to satisfy and then you can start on finding or creating a product.

Don't overlook this part. It is the foundation of your business.

The Fine Art Of Writing For Internet Marketing

Writen by Gunnar Berglund

Writing content for internet marketing follows some principles similar to writing for any print publication. Since search engine rankings are influenced by web writing, any plans for search engine optimization will have to include good and compelling content.

Although good content is a crucial element to search engine results, other factors are also considered by spiders when they index websites.

Owners must be aware that simply having key words and phrases sprinkled throughout their site would not make users return. To encourage user traffic, content must be well-written, updated and interesting. Polls also show that top-ranked search engines also featured links that lead users to other areas.

Site owners would benefit if keywords are significantly differentiated in terms of their font, font size and style – making it easier for searchers to spot them while scanning the site.

Although witty headlines can attract attention, care must be taken that clarity and simplicity are not compromised when writing content titles – as an excessive play with words would not help search engine spiders. Writers must also ensure that a paragraph is focused on a single idea and avoid developing into a sales pitch; the key is getting the point across using plain and simple language.

Before taking action to develop a searchable site, content writers have to establish the target audience and organize their ideas accordingly. For example: fans of the National Basketball Association would naturally "lock on" to writing that mentions Tim Duncan, Michael Jordan and the league's other current and former superstars.

To ease the process, writers can turn to their family, co-employees and friends for ideas in terms of what they would seek given a specific topic. Writers can also refer to magazines, industry newspapers, academic and business periodicals in both print and online editions. It may also help to secure subscriptions for topics that are dynamic and require regular updates. Membership in online discussion groups and forums also provide a rich source of ideas and opinions for topic research.

A search-friendly site is generally characterized by keywords and phrases that help establish the category under which the site is expected to appear in directories and search engines. These targeted words are also usually the ones individuals use as search terms to look for relevant sites.

When viewed in terms of hits, a writer can establish how successful a keyword or phrase is to the search engine based on keyword frequency, location of the keywords on the site and positioning among keywords.

Writers have to create a list of particular words and phrases searchers are expected to use, and include these in their content and on the site. This will increase the likelihood of a high percentage of hits and a similarly high number of crawlers and spiders finding the site.

Some tools that will help the searching process are the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, the Overture Keyword Selector and the fee-based Wordtracker.

Blogs also present another tool for internet marketing, as their site architecture makes them a natural target of search engine traffic, particularly in terms of their highly-organized page links.

This makes blogs a special aid for maximizing keyword placement, with the site owner having the option to balance between high traffic on the one hand and high subscriptions and sales on the other.

No Assumptions in web writing

A web writer must also bear in mind that web pages are global. However, this does not mean that the page will be appreciated by an international audience. To facilitate understanding, writers must indicate if the topic covered is region-specific. Writing an article that is available worldwide would also benefit from the inclusion of generic information.

Since English is the predominant global language, slang, dialect or expressions particular to a country or region should not be used. For articles that include topics such as currencies and measurements, a reader would appreciate tables for currency and measurement conversions, or at least links featuring such tools.

Writers should also avoid assuming any specific reader profile, particularly in terms of location. There are also terms that have different meanings across various countries: a native of Moscow, Russia would have a different interpretation of "east coast" from someone in the US. Some place names are also common for two different countries: Georgia can be found both in the US and in Russia.

The Secret Of Focused Responsive List

Writen by Maria Boomhower

Once you have decided on your ideal business to create and have research the feasibility of it, you will then need to figure out what your target market is.

I have seen many people fight this area and want to skip it. However, to ensure business success, this is a vital step.

Some of the reasons that people have come out with have been:

  • But I don't want to just sell to a few people
  • Everyone needs my product
  • Why should only a few people benefit
  • I am not sure how to do it
There is a wise saying that says. If you try to sell everything to everyone, you will sell nothing to no one. When you a have a narrowly focused target, you gain a responsive list of people who are interested in your product. And a small list of people that are interested in your product or service are much more valuable than a large list of people who could care less about what you offer.

You can promote to them all you want and you will be lucky if you make a dime off them. One of the reasons, is that different things appeal to different people and a marketing campaign targeted at everyone will impress no one. There is also the cost factor. You won't have deep enough pockets to cover the expense of promoting to everyone.

For example, if you were selling cars, you would need to consider the type of person who would be buying it. A van would appeal more to a family with kids or a coach with a team. Where as a two seat sports car would have an entirely different target market.

It doesn't mean that forever and a day that you will have to stick to your tightly focuses area, it means that you have a starting point in which to go after.

This will also help you track and monitor your progress and see who and what type of people respond to your offer or service. So, sit down focus and realize that this important process will help you achieve your goals and that is what matters.

The three areas that will help you gain your focused responsive list are: Demographics; Psychographics; Geographics.

The Demographics are:

The statistical characteristics or relating dynamics of different populations. This could be age, income or density that can be used to identify markets.

Contemporary demographics are what vital statistics looks at. For example global birth rates, the relationship between population and economic development, the effects of birth control, urban congestion and labor force statistics. For example: What is their age. How much money do they earn?

The Psychographics are:

The way to study and measure attitudes, values, lifestyles, and opinions, as for marketing purposes.

For example: Do they like luxury or practical items. Do they go out a lot or enjoy staying home. What is their challenges, attitudes, pains that you can help with.

The Geographics are:

To find out where your target market is:

  • Are the in North America or Eurasia.
  • Do they live in the city or the country.
  • Is the climate hot or cold?
  • For example: You wouldn't want to sell snow gear to desert dwellers.

Get into as much detail as possible. The more detail you have, the more you will be able to find your focused market. And the more you find it the more responsive they will be.

Now write out your target market and remember, it doesn't mean that you have to stick to this one target forever. It just means that you need to have a specific narrow target to start with.
